It was quiet in the tent, the only sound being that of Dipper slamming his fist against the table of which he sat.
"You've been working hours on this, take a break." Mable said as she sharpened her nails, making them perfectly cut to resemble claws.
"What, do you care about me now?" Dipper asked his sister, a snide expression on his face as he looked up at her.
"No." Mable said," I'm just tired of hearing you smack the table over and over again. Besides, we have a show soon." Dipper sighed and rolled his eyes.
"Why do we have to do that horrid show? It's a waste of time if you ask me." Dipper said as he turned back to his work and slammed the table once more.
"Well it's a good thing that nobody asked you then." Mable said sharply, turning and promptly walking out the door. Dipper sighed and rested his head on his hand, heartbroken he had to treat his sister in such a way.
"Well played father. Well played."

Pacifica was pulling Gideon along the worn out sidewalk, adrenaline rushing through her as she raced towards The Tent of Telepathy.
"Geez Cifica, I can run on my own!" Gideon exclaimed as he yanked his arm from her terrifyingly strong grip. Pacifica just smiled at him as she continued her fast pace towards the tent.
"Almost there." She said, slightly wheezing, not willing to stop until they had reached their destination. With one last burst of adrenaline, Pacifica rushed in front of Gideon and reached The Tent of Telepathy, bending over behind the long line waiting outside.
"Looks like the Norethwests are pretty popular." Gideon said as he eyed the line with a weary expression.
"Oh come on Gid, we'll be in soon enough." Gideon grunted as he crossed his arms, eyes narrowed at the line. After a few minutes, the Tent of Telepathy opened and the cashier was accepting money.
"Umm, Cifica?" Gideon said nervously, eyeing the cashier. "Did you bring any money?" Pacifica gulped and shook her head slowly, eyes wide as they got closer and closer.
"Hang on, I've got an idea." Gideon said as he grabbed her hand and pulled her to the side of the large tent. Pacifica was so horrified that she had forgotten something so important, she didn't even notice Gideon holding on to her hand an extra moment than necessary before lifting up the side of the tent and looking expectantly at Pacifica. "Lady's first." Gideon said, a sly smile on his face. Pacifica blushed slightly as she recalled her horrified expression and swiftly, silently slid under the flap Gideon had made. As soon as Pacifica was through, Gideon followed and they walked in to find good seats, ending up in the second row in the middle of the sea of seats.
"That wasn't too bad." Gideon said as he brushed off his vest and sat up tall, waiting for the show to start. After a moment of quiet chatter, the Tent got silent and a spot light came on, illuminating the tall stage in front of them. The curtain opened and the show started. On the stage were the twins, standing in poses, backs facing each other before they started to walk around the stage, heads high and Mable's hips swaying.
"Oh we can see," Mable started singing.
"What others can't see." Dipper finished.
"It ain't some sideshow trick,"
"It's innate ability."
"Where others are blind,"
"We are futurely inclined."
"And you too could fuss,"
"If you were only us." The twins walked down the stage steps and swaggered around the chairs.
"You wish your son would call you more." Dipper sang to an old lady sitting with her cats.
"I can tell that you've been here before." Mable sang to the tall police officer of the town.
"I'll read your mind between he line." Dipper sang, approaching Pacifica.
"Something tells me your a Pine." He finished, giving her a wink and walking back to the stage, causing Gideon to narrow his eyes.
"So welcome," they sang in harmony.
"To the Tent of Telepathy."
"And thanks for making a fuss,"
"Over the both of us." They finished, arms crossed as they leaned against each other. The audience cheered at the spirited performance. Pacifica and Gideon smiled, amused at the twins show, knowing that how they acted here was completely different to their actual personalities. As the curtain came down, the crowd thinned and Pacifica and Gideon were left in the tent, waiting for the time when the twins would come out. They sat for a moment before hearing a small scream coming from the back of the tent.
"What was that?" Pacifica whispered to Gideon as she stared at the door behind the curtain.
"Come on Cifica, we should leave." Gideon said as he stood up, eyebrows furrowed.
"Gideon, what if someone's hurt!?" Pacifica whispered fiercely, discouraged by his lack of bravery.
"What if we get hurt? What then?" Gideon whispered, his eyes big. Pacifica scoffed and stood up, rushing to the door. "Pacifica!" Gideon whispered. With a sigh, Pacifica slowly opened the door and peered in. With a gasp, Pacifica pulled her head and stared at Gideon, horrified.
"What did I just see!?"
