Chapter 8~The Mystery Hack

    "We've been walking for hours!" Gideon complained to Pacifica as they passed a building with a bright sign on it. Pacifica turned around, eyebrow raised and arms crossed.

    "We've been walking for five minutes." She said, lips pursed. Gideon scoffed.

    "Five minutes, five hours, I see no difference." At this, Pacifca failed to hold in her laugh and doubled over.

    "Gideon!" She exclaimed, her hand over her mouth. Seeing her like this, Gideon couldn't help but laugh and they were left standing there, laughing for nearly ten minutes as pedestrians passed them and gave them concerned looks. "Ok." Pacifica eventually said, letting out one last chuckle as she shoved Gideon to get his attention. Gideon then tumbled back running into  someone with dark brown hair and light blue eyes, along with a blue suit to match. "Oh no" Pacifica whispered, watching her friend tumble back into none other than Dipper Northwest. As Dipper started to fall, a set of sturdy hands caught him before much damage could be done. "Crap." Pacifica muttered, looking into the eyes of Mable Northwest as she assisted her brother.

    "Geez brother, by the end of the day your going to have more than a sore eye if you keep this up." She said, letting go of him so she could cross her arms. Mable Northwest was way prettier than the poster had indicated. In real life, Mable seemed more confident and had a gleam in her eye that seemed to signal that she was ready for a laugh, though there was also a certain sadness in them, as if she had seen things she wished she hadn't. Dipper, also was better looking than any poster could ever show. With his hair wind swept from nearly falling and his eyes holding the same sadness that was in Mable's. With another sweep over his features, Pacifica saw that one of his eyes had a slight purple tinge to it. Not sharp enough to be noticeable, but still must have been painful all the same.

    "Would you mind to watch where your going next time?" Dipper said, annoyed that they had the nerve to bump into him.

    "Dipper, it was an accident." Mable said, brow creased as she put a hand on her brother's shoulder. As she did this, Dipper flinched and Mable quickly retracted her hand, folding it back into the arms crossed position as if nothing had happened. With a dirty look at Gideon and a smile at Pacifica, Dipper turned and continued to walk.

    "Come along sister." He said, motioning with his hand without turning around. Mable gave an apologetic look to both of them, and followed after her brother, standing tall and swaying her hips.

    "Well then." Pacifica said, contemplating Dipper's smile. "Should we get a move on?" Pacifca looked at Gideon, who had his mouth gaped open and was staring in the direction they had disappeared.

     "I've seen an angel." He whispered, eyes glazing over. Oh no, Pacifica thought. He has a crush.

     "Come on lover boy." She said, grabbing his arm and pulling him in the opposite direction of twins. Gideon allowed her to pull him, but made absolutely no effort to assist her, meaning she had to drag her all the way to the woods where she assumed the mystery shack would be. At long last, after hours of effort and dragging Gideon, his bags, and her bags along a dusty old path, they found it. Well, she found it really. Gideon was still staring into empty space, no dout picturing Mable's face, committing it to memory. With a sigh, Pacifica dropped Gideon and ran to the front door.

    "Hey!" Gideon shouted as he rubbed his head, lying on the ground next to his bags. Pacifica showed no reaction to Gideon shouting and held her hand over the door in a fist. Pacifica breathed and knocked. After a moment, the door swiftly opened and her Grunkle was standing there, his fez on his head and his tux showing that it was a business day. Without thinking, Pacifica quickly ran up to him and hugged him, leaving a shocked expression on his face.
