Frank's POV

As soon as I got home I hid in my bedroom, dodging my mother's searching questions. He kissed me. Gerard actually kissed me. The thought went round and round in my head as I struggled to come to terms with the fact.

I couldn't really even remember what it was he had said to me, or what my reply had been but none of that mattered compared to what he had actually done. It had crossed my mind briefly that we might have gone further, had it not been for Mikey's rather sudden and somewhat embarrassing appearance.

Dinner had passed in a blur of conversation that I wasn't really listening to, as I became more and more distracted every time Gee brushed past my leg with his foot and blushed each time we made eye contact. His grandma had seemed a little pissed off by the end of the meal, although I'm not sure if that was my fault or not.

I wasn't sure of anything anymore, except the fact that Gee and I had kissed.

"Frank, you can't just pretend you're not there, you know. You haven't answered my questions yet."

Sighing, I stood up to let my mother in, before she knocked through the door.

"What do you want to know this time?"

A flicker of irritation crossed her face but she clearly decided to pretend I hadn't spoken.

"Where were you tonight? Who were you with? Why didn't you text me to say where you were going?"

"I was at Mikey and Gerard's house, with Mikey and Gerard. And their grandma was there too but I wasn't really with her. I didn't text you because Mikey only invited me when we were practically back so I didn't have a chance before I got there, and then I forgot once I was there."

"You forgot?! You forgot that you were supposed to be at your own house, with your own family?! What on Earth were you and Mikey doing that was so exciting you forgot to tell me?"

Shit, I was going to have to make something up pretty fast, which was not a strong point of mine.

"Er...nothing."

"Nothing?"

Rather than exploding in rage as I thought she would she simply repeated the word coldly, raising her eyebrow as she spoke.

"Yeah, well I... I wasn't with Mikey for most of the night... I was with Gee-Gerard."

I corrected myself quickly, hoping she hadn't noticed the nickname.

"Oh you were with 'Gee' were you? Perhaps you should have come up with a lie, Frank, because I'm not thrilled to hear you were spending time with alone, in someone else's house, without me even knowing."

"No, no! It wasn't like that. We were just talking about comics and... and music and stuff."

Even as I spoke I could feel myself blushing and I knew that my mum wouldn't believe me. She, however, didn't respond to my statement, simply walking towards to the door. Just before she left, she turned to face me.

"Apart from Battle of the Bands and the concert, you're now grounded until school finishes."

Without giving me any chance to protest she closed the door firmly behind her. Bitch.
