Time is frozen
The clock all but stops
The girl, nearly oblivious to it
Sits frozen too
She looks down at the words she has written
The words she said to the boy with whom she was smitten
She told him to go
She told him to stop
But she couldn't explain
How he had caused her pain
She had tried, time and again
But he didn't get it
So now she has told him no
I can't go on like this
You reap what you sow
She told him
He hurt her heart and her soul went with it
And now there's an empty space, with nothing to fill it
I need some time
Your in my way
Are her thoughts left unsaid
Instead she says goodbye
Goodbye, my love
Goodbye, my friend
I'm sorry it had to come to this kind of end
I know I loved you and still do, perhaps
But there finally comes a place where I'll snap
We've reached a place that we haven't known
We've reached a block, a rut in our road
But maybe one day, you'll still take me home.
