Love isn't Easy

I thought we could make it work

I thought we knew what've were doing

Now I realize that we didn't

We tried, we tried so hard

But in the end, all it did was pry us further apart

Now we are no longer one, were we ever really?

But all I can think of is that song, and ask what took you so long

To realize you loved me and to have the heart to tell me, somehow

But now that we are apart, I can't tell whether I love you or not

I thought I had lost you, thought I would be forever in this spot

But that wasn't true

And love isn't easy

Can we, can we be

Something real and maybe

Maybe find our way

To somewhere away from this fray
