Sofia Robbins Sloan Torres, a child who grew up with two mom's... and a dad. When she was younger, she didn't know it wasn't completely normal to have to moms, but she soon realizes that when she starts school. She gets bullied because of her moms...
Here lately, I have been down in the dumps. I'm extremely nervous about today. Today, my moms and the rest of the family are coming to the school to talk to my classmates; it's Bring Your Family to School Day. My classmates make fun of me at just the thought of them, but let alone them actually being here. My parents drop me off at the front door so I can go ahead to class while they find a parking spot. I walk into my classroom.
"Good morning, Sofia. Where's your mom and dad?" Our new teacher aid asks
"Moms and they are parking."
"Oh, you have two moms?"
"Yep."
"That's cool."
"I know." I sit down in my seat that has a seats on either side of it for my moms, Luke, and Eve. Poppy is in her baby carrier. I notice papers on the back of two of the chairs. I rip them off and they say 'Dyke #1' and 'Dyke #2.' Guys in the back row laugh as I stomp up to the recycling bin as I crumble up the papers. I harshly throw it in the bin as my moms walk in
"What's wrong, Sofia?"
"Nothing. Just frustrated."
"About what?" We sit down in the seats
"I just realized I have a major test today in History and I didn't study for it."
"Oh, well, I'm sure you'll do fine." I look behind me because the people are still laughing and I almost scream because the only girl is gesturing scissoring with her fingers

She stops when Mama turns around.
"Okay, class. Settle down. Let's get started." She turns on the overhead projector as she sits down. "How about we start off with Sofia and her family." All three of us walk to the front of the room as my teachers pulls up the PowerPoint presentation that we had to make. The requirements were a picture of your parents before kids, a picture of your parents' wedding day, one picture each of your siblings, explaining stuff like when they were born, a few slides talking about what your parents do for work, and a few pictures of yourself growing up. You have to have at least 4 facts for each picture except for the pictures of you growing up; you just have to have at least 5 pictures
