Okay so today we had our annual cancer awareness football game and it made me realize something;
Cancer is a very real thing.
There are about 50 football players, 30 cheerleaders and 130 kids in marching band, and every one of them had somebody to represent for the game. That's about 210 people represented for cancer... That's a lot of people who have cancer.
It really pisses me off when people lose sight of how real it is because of how many Fanfics, books, movies, and people in general glorify it. This book was not meant to do that and I'm sorry if it came off in that way.
Cancer is not this disease that goes away or gets better when you find somebody who you love, it is an awful disease which people suffer with everyday. Cancer is in no way, shape, or form romantic.
Before you look at the word cancer and blow it off thinking its some disease that's no big deal, look around you. Look at how many people are affected by it. Look at all the people that have lost someone due to it. Look at everybody that has battled endlessly through it only to get bombarded with thousands of dollars worth of bills. Look at all that and say it isn't a big deal.
So yeah, cancer is a real thing and should be treated like one.
Goodnight
