The morning breeze brushed against Alyra's ruffled black fur, winter would not be long. She had to prepare. If she didn't, she knew that she would starve to death. She slowly walked along, taking care not to open up any healing wounds or scabs. She thought of how she was to catch anything with her muscles being as sore as they were, bloody packs. They always made if hard for her to eat, it was like they were hunting her down. It was like they were trying to kill her off, it wasn't her fault she didn't have a pack, it wasn't her fault her parents left her behind when she was little. Remember such things made Alyra whimper a little, even if they had left her, they were still her parents. She began to wounder about what they looked like, was her mother the same color as she was? Was her father as strong, or stronger, than she was? Did one of them have the same bright blue eyes she did? Thinking about these things made Alyra feel happy, she always liked thinking about the possibilities of what her parents might look like.

'Alyra.' She stopped, turned her head around as much as her neck would allow her to find the source of who was calling her name.

'Alyra.' There is was again, Alyra's eyes grew wide in fright, she could hear the wolf talking to her yet she couldn't see them. She growled in annoyance.

"Show yourself!" she barked, giving out another low growl. 'Alyra, where are you darling?' darling? did the wolf just call her darling?

"I said show your self!" she howled, no one answered her. All was quiet, none of the trees were rustling, no birds were singing, nothing. Alyra stood still for a moment, just listening to it all. She looked into the gnarled, bent over pine trees that she had just walked out of, something was off colored in them. A bright brownish-orange colored dot came striding on the path she had taken, she narrowed her eyes to get a better look. She reeled back as the figure grew closer, bounding under and over fallen trees. The wind swept into Alyra's face and she could smell the figures scent, it was an Alpha. Without even looking back she turned around and ran, not caring about how much her muscles and body protested.

"Get back here girl!" the Alpha growled, only a few feet away from Alyra's tail. She sped up, wanting to get away from this death-raged Alpha. How could they always find her, she was no where near the pack after the fight, her must have been long gone before he knew of his son's death.

"Get back here!" he growled to her, hurt lining his words harshly. She had to keep running, she knew he would tire soon and stop. But she would keep going, she had to keep going, no matter how much her legs burned. Alyra could hear the river running beside her and she could see the waterfall at its end. A large rock was standing over the ledge, water rushed over it fiercely. She turned sharply towards it and the Alpha followed her. She jumped from the bank onto the rock and waited for him to do the same, it was clear to her that he wouldn't stop 'till she was dead, so she would have to kill him first. She could hardly hear the males laugh over the raging water.

"So, you've finally given up on running eh?"  He jumped onto the rock and started to circling Alyra, she mimicked his moves like she had when she fought his son.

"Yes I have given up on running, but I haven't given up on killing you." He scoffed at her, eyeing her down like she was his prey.

"You can't kill me you pathetic little girl, your nothing compared to my skills." Alyra's blood boiled, he did not just call her a little girl. She barred her teeth at her, signaling that she wanted to fight. He lunged at her, just like his son had, she nimbly stepped to the side and swiped a paw at him. He dodged it perfectly but couldn't find an opening on her. She was locked in defence, never moving to be on the offensive side. He kept trying to get her off balance, which was to her benefit. He lunged at her and she nimbly stepped to the side again, grabbing his leg as he flung passed her and pulled him back to her. He gave out a small whimper as her teeth sunk into his flesh, she felt like letting go and gaging as the blood seeped into her mouth yet again, like it had when she killed his son. The Alpha turned around to her, snapping at her face which was still tightly gripped around his leg.

"Have you no respect for those above you?!" he growled, snapping at her snout again. She turned her body so he couldn't reach her as she dug her teeth in with emense pressure. He whimpered again for her to show mercy, but that would never happen, Alyra knew that. She growled at him, biteing harder and harder into his leg.

"Please! Let go, I am no trouble to you now!" The Alpha whined and pleaded, but he knew it was useless. Alyra wouldn't let go, she couldn't let go. If she did, she knew that he would return with his pack or kill her when her back was turned. She pulled on his leg making him tumble backwards to her, she let go as soon as his neck was in range of her teeth. She bit down on his neck, the darkened blood seeped out of the puncture and trickled down her mouth. The male yelped in pain, tugging away from her with little effort as his energy started to deplete. Alyra bit down harder, knowing it would take more strength to kill him than his son. She could hear a faint growl reverberate through his throat, he tharshed his head away, pulling a peice of his skin off. Alyra dropped the bloody mess of skin and fur on the ground and looked at the hole that now adorned the male's neck. Blood dripped off his white-gray pelt, a small sliver of bone shone with a bloody radiance within the wound. She had bitten deep, she knew that he would have a painful consequience for pulling away from his death. He whimpered and growled at Alyra, inching back with every painful jolt.

"This ain't over kid." He said before turning away from her and running full speed towards his pack. Alyra huffed, somewhat glad he ran off, somewhat glad she didn't kill him. But also terrified that he would come back for her. All of them would.
