The bell rang in the midnight air.

People screeched running franticly. The King watched from the ledge. Red flames engulfed the town. Guardsmen threw themselves forth, fighting off the enemies only to be struck down. The sabar tooth tiger turned facing his wife. The scar on his left hand visible.

"Go to the shelter! Now!" He yelled. His crown was tilted. His green eyes showed worry and panic. The wind ruffled his fur only making him look more scared.

A Guardsman waited for the Queen in the bedroom.

He gestured for her to come. In her hands, a young baby cried. His dark brown and tan fur now pushed around by the mother's comforting strokes. The older child clenched her finger running alongside.

The King turned, clenching his fists watching as his wife and two kids ran out of the room.

The other Guardsman stood waiting for further orders.

"Fetch me my amour and sword." He ordered. "But sir! Y-" The Guardsman bellowed back. "Do as you are told, Guardsman!" The young cougar then ran off.

As the young boy ran alongside his mother he could hear the cries of the people. He looked out the windows more then once seeing the enemies full amour. The torches they threw set more wood houses on fire. Their eyes burned with joy. Saber tooth tigers and cougars carried their young into houses trying to escape the murderers.

"Almost there your highness!" The Guardsman said as they reached the back entrance.

As the four exited the wooden house panic seized the Queen. Her amber eyes widened. The wind continued to tug on her dark brown fur. The sabar tooth tigress had to act quickly.

A enemy saw them, then proceeding to run forward.

The Guardsman pulled out his sword growling.

"Quickly son, into the shelter!" She bellowed running with him to the small, protected building. She opened the door almost shoving him in. "Take your brother! and remember, I will always love you both." She said, kneeling and handing the baby to the younger child.

She stood, watching as the Guardsman was struck down. She then ran off after the enemy.

"Mother!" The child screeched, but she could not hear him. He peered through the crack under the door sitting on the stone steps. The baby began to cry.

He watched the battle.

His mother growled swatting the sword at the enemy. The saber tooth tiger only laughed. She ducked and fought hard. He then raised his sword striking her on the neck and chest. She fell.

A horn was then heard.

He then proceeded to run away.

She did not get up. Blood soon began to trickle off her neck and side.

The young tan and white saber tooth tiger began to cry.
