Eldstone sat at the wooden table.
He drank from his wooden cup. The small mess hall was empty. He was the only one in it.
Suddenly, he heard a crash from down the hall.
He stood running toward the sound.
Another crash!
Eldstone sprinted. The saber tooth then took a sharp turn running toward the front entrance.
He grabbed a sword on the way.
He peeked outside. His eyes narrowed. No one. He then turned putting the black curtains back.
Barton held onto the reigns. His eyes narrowing.
I can't believe it.. under our noses the whole time. Abadoning us! Oh, he will pay! I mourned for him! Father did! The night moonlight made enough light for the prince. The prince pulled on the reigns even harder. The prince's black cloak fluttered behind him.
Father would know about this right away.
The prince walked down the velvet halls. The prince's eyes burned with fury and sadness. He ran to the throne room shoving the doors open. Barlick sat in his golden throne. His crown was tilted slightly from his hand. Standing before him, was the head commander of the Guardsmen.
"Father! Father!" Barton yelled interrupting them.
"What Barton?!" Barlick hollered back.
"E-Eldstone.. hes.. hes.. alive!" Barton coughed. The King's face grew cold. His olive green eyes full of hurt, and then churning with anger. "Commander. I have a new task for you."
"Yes sir?" The tan cougar asked.
"Go to the Guardian's cave. Bring all them back, alive. Bring them to me. Go!" The King growled. The commander scurried off. Barlick motioned for Barton to come over. "Nice work, son. You did what is right. Go, sit in the throne, you deserve it." He smiled.
Barton sat on the golden throne next to his father's. He smirked.
This will be fun.
