Eldstone rose from his throne.
He followed behind his father. Barlick walked with confidence. The menacing leader's fangs were pointed and thick. Much like Eldstone and Barton's. Guardsmen raised their spears as the King and Prince passed down the halls.
Barlick turned. He then opened a door. The room was completely dark. In the center was a round wooden table with a candle on top of it. The walls were made of wood. Six men sat around the table. Their faces were covered with a hood. Light illuminated their hoods and a tiny bit of their snouts.
They all rose and bowed.
"Sit down, Advisers. We have much to talk about."
They all sat. Including the King and Prince. "Your highness, we inquire that you please think of the options. The city is suffering. Townspeople have come up to us and asked.." The King sat in his chair. His hands rested on his red pants. His red shirt was slightly wrinkled.
"Tell them we are staying here. Histora fylld stad! We are a histora fylld stad! We have tall! And we will uphold it to the end of time. This was lay down by our forefathers. We will not let go of Tra!" The Advisers sat silent. "King Barlick, please. You must reconsider. Look at Tra! Is this what they have wanted? Our forefathers, would they have wanted their townspeople to suffer!?"
The King smacked his fist on the table.
"Silence, Advisor! Do you want to end up like the Guardians!?" Everyone went silent.
Eldstone watched with horror. How could his father do this? All for customs? For traditions? For pride? He would want his town to suffer?
I need to do something. Louy!
Eldstone stood. "Father, I need a walk." King Barlick laid back in his chair. "Go ahead." He sighed. Eldstone left quickly. He sprinted down the halls. His heart beated in his chest as he made it to the front gates. The hot sun showed bright in the sky. This made Eldstone squint. The guardsmen stood. Their amour made a even more blinding light.
"Open the gate!" One of them called.
Soon, the tall wooden gate opened.
Eldstone ran down into town. He could hear the coughing and bickering. Townspeople begged. Angry customers bombard the shops as usual. Eldstone shook his head. He walked down the cobblestone streets. Wooden stands with traders from other towns shouted for attention. Others were talking or trying to rebuild their houses.
He had now entered the trading part of the town.
Eldstone stopped. He stood before a large house. Windows were pierced near the roof. He knocked on the wooden door. "Yes?" Louy said.
"Louy, I need to talk to you. Now."
Louy glanced behind him. The brown, black and almost blue colored falcon sighed. "I can't. The cubs are acting crazy and I need to fix the house. Lady Willow is out and put me in charge." Eldtsone sighed. "Then we will do it up stairs."
" And do what?"
"Just come on!" Eldstone said being let in. The cubs ran around the house. They screamed and shouted at each other. "Is this what it is like?"
"At the orphanage yeah. Only though when Lady Willow is out. Crazy young-ones."
"Here, hold on a second." Eldtsone said. He then whistled. The cubs completely stopped and stared at Eldstone. Pillows made of straw were everywhere. The kitchen area was covered in spills. The wooden furniture was toppled or on the ground.
"Its Prince Eldstone!"
"Woah!" The cubs said.
Cubs watched in awe. "Alright. Listen up. I want this place cleaned and neat. Then, when you are done sit and talk. Understood?"
"Yes, your majesty." They all replied.
"Good. I am going to speak to your eldest here." Eldstone and Louy soon walked up the stairs. They entered a room. The room had no windows. Only bareness. "Look. I have been thinking, we need to visit that cave. Something about it is nagging me."
Louy crossed his wings over each other. "I don't know... when are you planning on doing this?" Louy asked. "At night." Eldstone replied. "Are you crazy? I can't! Lady Willow will punish me!" Eldstone sighed. "Louy, please. I have to know!"
"Why?!" Louy screeched back.
"Something tells me there is something hiding. Something that needs to be discovered! Something that could be the answer to this monstrosity!" Eldstone replied.
"Fine." Louy sighed.
"Tonight we go. I will come and get you." Eldstone left the room. Louy followed behind him. Dear Dstellers, I hope this is worth it.
