Tumultuous--Alex and Piper Fanfiction

Feelings

Piper picked a movie and Alex made popcorn. Alex shot a text to her friend Rachel telling her that she wouldn't be able to make drinks tonight. Earlier that night before going out with Piper she made some plans, not expecting to hangout with Piper for such a long time. She never told her friends that she went on a date with Piper because they think that Alex slept with Piper once and dropped her...which was her original plan but for some reason Alex can't shake this girl.

Piper's movie choice was a random romantic comedy that Alex has never heard of. They sat down on the couch together with a soft, dark blue blanket over top of their legs. They were inches apart and both had their feet up on the coffee table. They were a quarter way through the movie, Piper looked over at Alex and smiled.

"What?" Alex looked back and chuckled at Piper.

"Nothing, can't I look at you for no reason?" Piper teased.

"Psycho." Alex winked.

"Oh shut up and watch the movie!" Piper laughed.

Alex turned her head and went back to watching the movie, she checked her phone to look at the time and seen that it was already midnight. She couldn't believe that she was still with Piper and not even wanting to leave yet.

Piper got a sudden sprout of courage and placed her hand over top of Alex's. Alex looked down but didn't have the urge to move it. Instead she flipped her hand over so their fingers could interlock. That may not seem like a big deal because it's just holding hands, but Alex doesn't do that or show affection unless it's during or for sex.

Piper was surprised that Alex allowed Piper to hold her hand. Alex nonchalantly went back to watching the movie but her heart was beating out of her chest. It's funny how Alex is so confident during sex, and Piper and her have already had sex plenty times, yet Alex feels scared and nervous just to hold Piper's hand. Alex liked the feeling.

Piper decided to move in closer to Alex and rest her head on her shoulder. While still holding Alex's hand. Alex felt Piper's head on her and enjoyed the affection. Alex knew she had to leave because she was liking this more than she wants to.

"I should probably go after this movie." Alex rubbed her thumb over top of Piper's hand in a gentle way.

Piper could tell that Alex was freaked out by all the affection and didn't want to get too attached. But Piper could already feel here motions building and building.

"Okay. There's about 30 minutes left." Piper replied.

In that 30 minutes both women could feel their eyes rolling back into their head. They were so tired. Piper looked over at Alex and seen she was fast asleep. Piper smiled and didn't do anything, she wasn't going to wake her. A couple minutes later Piper had passed out too.

Alex woke up. Her and Piper were spooning on the couch, intertwined with each other. Piper was still fast asleep, Alex looked down at her and smiled. She had never seen someone so beautifully peaceful. She snapped out of looking at Piper and grabbed her phone to check the time. It was 8am. Alex didn't want Piper to know she slept over because Alex doesn't want complications between them. She carefully lifted herself off the couch from behind Piper. She grabbed her bag but before she left she wrote Piper a quick note and headed out the door to go home.

Piper had opened her eyes to the sound of the door shutting. She knew Alex had freaked out even more and left. Piper wishes Alex could get past her intimacy issues and want relationships, but Piper will have to live with never being in a mutually, emotionally involved relationship with Alex. Piper looked at her phone to see if there were any texts from Alex but there wasn't. A small part of Piper was scared that she may never see Alex again. Alex was unpredictable and terrible with keeping in touch. Piper tried not to think about that and got up to make herself a coffee.

Piper walked over to the kitchen counter and put the kettle on. She looked over and seen a note on her kitchen table. It read:

Hey Piper,sorry for not staying I had to go run some errands...that's a lie, I just freaked out that I fell asleep at your place so I made myself leave. Anyways, hope you had as much fun as I did. Thanks again.

Piper smiled that Alex had enough courtesy to leave a note but Piper was still upset at the fact that Alex just couldn't have stayed.Piper decided to text Alex and ask to see her.

Piper: Hey thanks for coming over last night

Alex: Thanks for having me! Did you get my note?

Piper: Yeah, maybe want to go for coffee and talk?

Alex: Sorry todays not a good day..

Piper knew Alex was trying to avoid her because of the connection they shared. Piper wasn't going to let that happen. She was falling for Alex and this was just the beginning.

Piper: Okay...well when your free text me?

Alex: Of course

Alex felt shitty for blowing off Piper. Alex just can't handle feeling emotion and risking getting hurt or being vulnerable. Alex shot her friend Karen a text to get her mind off Piper.

Alex: Club tonight?

Karen: Fuck yeah

Alex: Meet me at santos party house at 9pm

Karen: Kk

Alex needed to get fucked up and fuck a random girl. Anything to lose these feelings she had for Piper.

Piper also wanted to go out clubbing tonight. She wasn't much of a party person but she was feeling a few drinks so she called up her best friend Polly and decided on a club.
