It's been two weeks and Piper was a mess. She missed seeing Alex or receiving dirty texts when Piper wasn't expecting it. This had been the longest two weeks for Piper. She stayed in bed for as long as she could, she would randomly cry any time she thought about Alex, which was quite often. It was like the two had a very extreme breakup, but that wasn't the case. Piper was confused as to why she was feeling this way, considering her and Alex were never a serious thing. What hurt Piper the most was how easy it was for Alex to leave. Piper had completely given up on herself. She felt like she lost Alex forever.
Alex on the other hand had been partying all week and getting blackout drunk trying to forget that Piper even existed. None of Alex's friends knew what happened with her and Piper. Night time was the worst for Alex, she had to keep her mind distracted at all time sin order to not think about Piper. It wasn't working. Alex had began to constantly think about Piper to the point where she wouldn't go out at much. Alex started spending days inside and nights in. Her friends seemed concerned. Alex has never experienced this feeling. She couldn't let something this rare, pass.
It was a rainy evening, Piper was laying on her couch, scrolling through Alex's social media, missing her. Piper's phone went off.
Polly: Hey, comedown here for a minute.
Piper: It's raining, you come up here.
Polly: No, we're going out. Just come down and hop in my car, I'm parked right out front.
Piper: Ugh fine...give me a min
Piper threw some shoes on, and headed downstairs.
When she walked out of the main doors, Alex was standing directly across from here, soaking wet.
"Alex? What are you doing here? Where is Polly?" Piper was completely shocked.
"Listen." Alex grabbed Pipers hands and held them. "My father abandoned me when I was very young, and my mother died not long ago.I know what it feels like to be hurt, I wouldn't wish it on anyone.I'm overly capable to hurt you, that's why I distanced myself. I'm not used to this...feeling like this. But because I've never experienced it, and I'm scared, I know that I have to do it than. I want you. And I've never wanted anyone. I don't know what I'm doing or how to do it, but I'll try. We can talk about our future and our kids names, if that's what you want, I like the names Noah and Jessie." Piper started to laugh, and cry at the same time.
"I may not be able to give you everything you want, but I can give you everything I have." Alex finished her spiel.
"But you said – ." Piper was confused.
"I know what I said. And I'm terrified about it all, but I need you Piper. I said I can't be a part of this fairy tale inside your head, but in all honesty...I wouldn't want anything more." Alex stood in the rain, holding Piper's hands.
Piper leaned in and passionately kissed the sweetest brunette in front of her.
"I like you." Alex whispered in Pipers ear.
"I like you too." Piper rested her head on Alex's shoulder.
"Lets get you inside and warm." Alex said as it continued to pour.
Alex and Piper walked up the stairs to Piper's building, and entered her apartment. Piper made Alex a coffee and they sat down on the couch together.
"Movies and cuddle?" Alex suggested.
"Alex Vause doesn't do 'movies and cuddle' I thought?" Piper winked.
"You seem to be my only exception." Alex smiled and wrapped her arm around Piper.
