Chapter 17

Moni's POV

„So what's up with you and Blondie?" Jane asked me curiously.

"What do you mean?" I replied her, like I had no idea what she was talking about.

"Don't lie to me baby girl. I've known you for 5 years now and I know what you look like, when you are in love", she smirked. Obviously she knew something was up.

"I am NOT in love with Luke!", I shrieked.

"Try to convince yourself you're not, but when you two are going to have a relationship, I'm so going to tell you 'I told you so'", she said, looking at me.

"Gosh. This doesn't make any sense at all. But since you'll probably annoy me for the rest of the day, if I don't tell you anything, what do you want to know?", I laughed.

"At first, you and Luke. The whole story please. Secondly what's up with Jules and those guys and thirdly tell me about Liam", she smiled.

I told her the story about what happened since Luke turned up on my doorstep one day. How we got closer and closer everyday and I didn't want to lose him again.

"I know I shouldn't have let him into my life again so easily, but we have been through so much together", I sighed.

„Hun, it's alright. You like him, you always have. I know how you feel. You're the only person I'm going to tell this now, but I also let Daniel back in my life", she began. "It was after high school. I was in my first semester in college, when I met that guy in a pub. We got along really well and had a few dates. We fell for each other and didn't care at all what other people thought about us. But one day he left. Without saying anything he didn't reply to my texts and calls anymore. At some point I just gave up. I finished college without hearing about him anymore. So I found that job in a big school and one day, we met in the coffee shop across the street. It was the boy from college, Daniel. Sure, he hurt me, but I'm happy I let him back into my life again. It was a good experience, not in the end, but all those years, I knew that we had something. A past. Sometimes a shared past doesn't have to be a bad thing. You just have to try your best to not make the same mistakes again", she finished her monolog.

"You know that is one of the reasons, why I like you so much. You always know the right things to say", I smiled at her. I would do my best, to not lose him anymore. He was a part of my life, which wasn't that bad actually. He was more like the best thing ever happened to me. I know that sounds pathetic, but it's just so simple. We usually try our best to ruin the good things in our life. We have to have enough faith in ourselves to let the good things come naturally.

"Back to the topic, what's up with Jules and those two boys?", Jane snapped me out of my thoughts.

"Whole story?", I asked her.

"Yup. I want to know everything about the two lover boys and if they could hurt my little sister", she replied.

"Well, Jules and Niall liked each other for the start. But I think also Ashton likes her, which is kind of a problem. He told her, he had a girlfriend, but I talked to Luke about it and he is 99 % sure he doesn't have one and that Ashton just doesn't want to admit his feelings for Julie. Or hurt her. I don't know, well Niall is obviously quite down, that your sister has lost her memory about him, cause the kissed and-", I said, but Jane stopped me, because she was shrieking, such a girl.
