Defiant Mate:Chapter One- Alpha Kning's Teritory.

Kira's POV.

I was nearing the border. It's been two years since I saw Lisa. I should have called but didn't have time. They were after me again. And this time they were not letting up. It's only when I ran into the Alpha King's territory did they let up. After getting out of that mess I found myself in another. Within my minutes I was surrounded by the Alpha King's men.

I was ready to defend myself if it came to it. Even though 20 - 1 to one is an uneven match.

" Stand Down Rouge ! " a voice boomed from among them.

The voice had power but not enough to suggest that he is the Alpha. More like a Beta.

" I'm not a Rouge. I'm a friend of Princess Lisa." I snapped.

Which wasn't very wise I was surrounded by twenty men. I stayed on guard waiting for any form of attack.

" How dare you claim to be friends with our Princess ! " he snapped stepping forward but stopped when his eyes glazed over.

" Stand down. " I heard a voice order, one that I knew too well.

Lisa.

She ran and hugged me, screaming my name loudly as she did.

" Kira !!!! "

" Hey. " I giggled. Happy to see my friend, " how have you been."

" Better now that you're here," she said smiling brightly at me.

I walked with her back to the pack house. When I saw the size of the house my jaw dropped. It wasn't a house. It couldn't be it looked more like a Castle. As I got closer the most amazing scent assailed my senses. And my wolf started screaming

Mate! Mate! Mate!

She screamed. And that was all it took for me to turn around on my heels and run away, shifting as I did. A mate is the last thing I wanted to find. Halfway near the border, I stopped. Knowing that if I step foot out of the Alpha king's Pack. I would be hunted again. So I turned around and headed back to where I left Lisa. When I got back. Lisa wasn't alone. Someone stood next to her and he smelt amazing. I didn't need anyone to tell me that he's my mate.

As I got closer he stepped forward until he was standing right in front of me.

" Mate ! " he said before pulling me into his arms.

My emotions got conflicted. Apart of me wanted to be in his arms and another apart of me didn't. The pull towards him was undeniable, and so was the sparks that flow between us.

" What's your name mate ? " he questioned as he still held me.

" Kira. " I said unable to resist the mate's bond.

" That's a beautiful name," he said. I didn't have to look up to know that he was smiling.

I wiggled myself free from his arms and then stepped away.
Lisa had a goofy smile on her face when I did. Was she happy about this? Of course, she is who am I kidding.

" My brother Ethan is your mate ! " she squealed.

Which provoked me to say it like it is.

" Lisa could you stop squealing. You must be happy for brother, but I don't accept any of this. My life is already complicated and I don't need a mate to add to it. " I said before walking away.

" Kira doesn't do this ! " she yelled after me.

That's when I slowed down to look at her.

" I can't accept any of this not now not ever. " I said before turning to walk away again.

That's when a growl erupted from behind me and I was tackled to the ground by no other but my mate.

" You're not leaving me. " he hissed, before taking me up and tossing me over his shoulder.

" Put me down me !! " I yelled, only to stop when I heard Lisa giggling.

I can't believe my own friend supported this. That was when my wolf spoke for the first time in years and said.

He's our mate Kira we can't run away from him. We would die without, and him without us.

He placed me in a room on the third floor and left me in the room then put guards by my door. Locking me in. Giving them orders to not let me out.

" Who the hell do you think you are ?! " I yelled.

I knew he heard me because he chuckled before walking away.
