Defiant Mate: Chapter Thirteen- A Challenge.

Kira's POV.

Once in I shifted back to human form. The Alpha King's warriors were all in wolf form as I walked towards the house. Once I was close enough, I stopped.

" Alpha King, get your ass out here and Fight me ! I challenge you ! " I yelled.

" I'm not going to fight a woman. " he said. I heard his voice but I didn't see him.

" Coward !! " I yelled.

" I'm not a coward Kira. I just won't fight a pregnant woman. " he snapped.

" You don't have to worry about that Anymore. Thanks to you I'm not pregnant any more !!! " I snapped back.

With that he stepped out of the dark house. And faced me. I looked him in the eye and said.

" It's your fault my baby is dead. You killed your son. " I said each word with venom.

He just looked at me and for a brief moment hurt crossed his face. And without another word he attacked me head on. I shifted and met him head on. I wasn't going to back down , I wasn't leaving until he either killed me or I ripped his head off.

We fought and not one of us let up. When I heard Lisa gasp he gained the upper hand and had me pinned to the ground. His big paws crushing down on my neck. My life started to leave me. And then I remembered why I came here and what brought me to this point. I let all the rage and hurt build in me and with one quick movement I ripped his throat out. I stepped back and watched as his last breath left him. And as he did my neck stung. His mark was gone. And I no longer felt connected to his sorry ass. Lisa ran to her brother's lifeless body and cried. The wolves around bowed as I walked away. And as I did I couldn't believe that I took out the Alpha king.

I shifted back into human form and walked into the house. I took up the phone and I called Caleb.

Hello. "

" Caleb " I said .

Kira, Baby are you okay ? " he asked, sounding worried.

" I am now that I'm talking to you. " I answered.

" Where are you ? " he asked, sounding on edge.

" The Former Alpha King's Territory. " I answered after a minute.

" Are you safe ? " he asked his tone laced with worry.

" I'm Fine. The Alpha king is dead I'm Alpha now . " I said with a matter of fact tone.

" You're Alpha !? " he asked in a surprised tone.

" Yeah I killed him. " I said feeling a little uncomfortable as I did.

" Bad Ass !! " he said

" Yeah can you come get me ? " I asked.

" Of course Babe, be there 45 ! " he said making giggle a little.
