Chapter Fifty - To The Park

Ash's Pov

     Today was still cool like a winter day, good for a sweatshirt but not cold enough for a jacket. It's kinda weird having winter be this short, in mango we had brutal and long snow storms.

      I was at the movie with Cilian, and Arceus it was impossible to follow. I knew Cilian was into more intellectual stuff, but this is crazy. It's all in French with subtitles, and it's also black and white. All I've gathered so far is that there's a couple or something? Only makes me think of Serena more though.

     Thankfully it was just about over, because I really need to pee. The credits rolled and the lights came up.

"So did you like it?" Cilian asked me.

"Ehhh... it was ok?" I responded, unsure.

"You hated it didn't you." Cilian rolled his eyes.

"Yea, I had no idea what was going on." I laughed and scratched my head.

"It was about latios and latias, the legendary power couple." Cilian shook his head in laughter.

"Ok, well I know you hated it. So what do you want to do? I owe you one." Cilian asked me.

     I didn't really know what to say. Normally when I'm bored I just go see Serena, so I don't really do much anymore. I guess I could do something I liked before I met Serena.

"Okay, lets go to the park!" I told him.

"Lead the way." Cilian beckoned me forward.

     We walked for about five minutes talking about school and the upcoming school dance.

"Well I don't really think I'm going." Cilian tried to turtle up, but I wasn't having any of it.

"What? Why not man, it's gonna be fun!" I was gonna dig into him all day of that's what it took. If Serena's forcing me to go, he's going to.

"I don't wanna be the loser that goes alone. You have Serena, Paul has Dawn, and May has Barry. I would like to go but no girl would want to go."

"What? You could get a date easy!" I reassured him.

"Let me rephrase, no girl I like would want to go with me." Cilian was turtling again.

"Well who do you -"

"Oh look, were here!" Cilian cut me off and ran towards the basketball courts.

     I need to help Cilian get this date. It seems to mean a lot to him, he just doesn't know it yet.
