Ash's P.O.V.
There's only a few more days until Christmas break starts now. It's so cold and there are so many storms that it's getting harder to go and see Serena. I'll always push through it though.
My mom and I haven't said more than forty words a day to each other since the fight. It's not that bad, not having a mom to lean on. I always thought I needed her for everything, but that's all changed. I have Serena, and I'm becoming much more self reliant.
Speaking of which, I now need my own money to buy Serena a gift, but that should be easy. The only hard part is thinking about what to get her. For all she's done for me she deserves something special.
Serena told me about the party, too. I'm not happy about Calem going, but I'll manage not punching him in the jaw for one night. I hope.
