Serena's P.O.V.

I looked across the table, staring at that empty space that made my heart sink. One of them wouldent be able to sit with us. Calem, my neighbor and friend who I'm now sure has feelings for me thanks to my mother. Or Ash, my new friend and the new kid. I didn't want to be mean and push him out. Plus, he made me feel some special way that made me want to be near him.

I looked over to the lunch lines, and saw Ash in one line, and Calem in the other. They would get their lunches at the exact same time, and see that there was one seat.

A few seconds felt like an eternity, because I kept imagining the worst possible outcome of this. I keep seeing ash and Calem throwing their fists furiously.

Then, I saw them both look at the seat, then each other. My heart pounded furiously. Then I saw Ash and Calem both go for the seat.

To my surprise, they both climbed on to one side of the seat.

They were sharing the seat so they could both sit there. Sure, they looked silly but it made me so happy to know the thoughts in my head didn't come true.

We all joked around and had a great time at lunch like we always did, it was just better now that we had ash.

And with that, our conversations carried on and lunch was soon over. I headed to period four. "Drama with Diantha" was the class title. I was just as excited as Ash was when he found out we would learn from Alder. Diantha was one of the best performers in the world and we got to learn from her! I couldn't wait to get to Drama!
