I tried to catch my breath as Lassie opened the door and let Gus and Jules back in. I still couldn't believe he kissed me. My heart was still pounding rapidly. Jules looked at me worriedly. "You feel better now?" I nodded slightly. "Yeah. I'm good." She looks back at Lassie. "What do you make of these visions?" He avoids my gaze. "I don't know." He walks out. Jules looks at me. "What's up with him." I shrug smiling. "I have no idea. It's Lassiter he is weird." Gus gives me a weird look. "Are you sure you are okay you look like you are about to pass out." I sit down feeling happy and maybe a little dizzy from the adrenaline of the kiss. "I feel fine Gus." Jules gives me more water. "I am going to talk with the chief but if you need anything else I am here Shawn." I nod. "Thanks." She walks out the door and closes it. "No problem Shawn."
Gus slaps my arm. "What the hell was that for!" He sits next to me. "For being a drama queen. That was over the top." I scoff. "Over the top? I was actually not feeling well." He nods in disbelief. "Sure Shawn whatever." I look at him. "I am being serious when Lassie left I started feeling dizzy." He touches my forehead. "You don't feel warm, you are fine." I get out of my chair. "I will be back." He gets up. "Where are you off to now?" I face him. "To find Lassie." He glares at me. "Haven't you talked to him enough today already?" I shrug. "I need to ask him a question. I will be back." I walk out of the office and around the station looking for the love of my life. "Oh Lassie boy! Lassie!"
I finally found him outside the interrogation room. "Hey Lass, what are you doing?" He looks around worriedly. "Asking a couple questions." I gasp. "Do we have a suspect?" He shakes his head. "This is a different case." I nod. "Oh alright. I need to talk to you." He groans. "Not now Spencer I am busy." I wink at him. "What you don't have time for me?" He moves closer and whispers in my ear. "Not. Now. Shawn." I smirk. "Can we talk after you are done then?" He nods hesitantly. "Yeah sure whatever." I smile brightly. "Good see you then."
I skip away happily singing. "I kissed a boy and liked it! Got all the honeys in the club excited!" My singing was interrupted by Jules. "Shawn! We have to go now!" I looked at her. "Why?" Gus leads us out the door. "They found something across town!" We all walk to our cars. "What did they find?" Juliet shakes her head. "I don't know they just told us to get there as fast as we could." On the way there I drove thinking to myself. Maybe another murder? Whatever it was there better be clues this time.
When we arrived they were already talking something away. Juliet walked up to the nearest officer. "What happened what did they find?" He pointed at a spot on the ground. "We found a pair of legs right over there. Just the legs this time but we are sure it's the same killer." I put my hands up to my head. "Yes! It's the same person!" Gus glares at me. "This killer is on a murdering spree. We need to figure this out before more people die." I nod and turn to the officer. "Did you collect any evidence?" He shakes his head. "No we didn't find anything but we do have a witness saying they saw a man drop off the black bag that the legs were in." Yes I could work with this. I just had to talk to the witness. "Who is the witness?" He points at a teenage girl. "Her." I walk over to her with Gus following behind me. "Hi my name is Shawn Spencer I am a psychic detective working for the SBPD and this is my partner TT Showbiz." Gus interrupts. "The extra T is for extra talent." I smile." Tell us what you saw." She flips her hair. "I was walking to my best friend's house and I noticed a man with a bag and he just dropped it on the side of the sidewalk. I thought he looked suspicious so I called you. That's all I saw." I nod. "What did the man look like?" She tries to remember. "He was tall and wearing all black. He had a hoodie on and was wearing sunglasses." Sounded like he was trying to be unnoticed. "Thank you and if there is anything else you remember, give me a call." I hand her my business card and head back to where Jules is. "I found out nothing." She nods. "This killer really knows how not to leave a trace." I scratch my head. "I'm going to head back to the station." I say suddenly remembering Lassie. Gus looks at me strangely. "I'm going to stay here since you are probably going to have another heart to heart chat with your new best friend Lassiter." I pat his back. "He isn't my new best friend. Nobody can replace you Gus and may I remind you Lassie hates me." He smiles widely. "You are my best friend too Shawn." Jules hands me a stack of paperwork. "Since you are talking to Lassie do me a favor and hand him these files for the case." I nod. "Yeah sure Jules not a problem."
I quickly get into my car and drive back to the station. I couldn't wait to see him again even though we just spoke moments ago. I sighed and hummed along to the radio. Things were looking great for me. I couldn't be happier, actually I could be happier if I solve these murders.
I pulled up in the parking lot and locked my car on the way out. I noticed it was about the time of the day I go home. I walk into the station searching for Lassie. I see him in his office and knock on the door. "Lass! Its me." He lets me in. "Okay Shawn what do you need to talk to me about?" I smile. "I wanted to talk about....earlier why did you kiss me?" He looked away. "Uh.......sorry about that I didn't know what I was doing or thinking. I'm sorry." I walk closer to him and take his hand. "Don't be sorry. I liked it." I lean closer to kiss him but he pushes me away a little. "Shawn..........I can't do this. I have things to do." I look down at the ground sadly. "Can you maybe join me after work? I have something for you." He nods. "Yeah sure. What is it?" I gaze into his eyes. "Its for the case. I left it at home." I lied. I had to get him alone and what better than to invite him to my house. I knew he wouldn't kiss me now because he was scared of people seeing us. He avoids my gaze. "Yea I will meet you at your place in an hour." I head towards the door happily. "See you in a bit then Lassie." I wink at him and rush out the door. I send Gus a quick text telling him I was going to hang out with Lassie and to tell my dad I wouldn't make it to dinner probably. He texted back saying alright and that there would be more food now that I wasn't going to make it.
I got into my car and headed back home. I pulled up at my small apartment and quickly went inside. I had little less thank an hour to get ready. First I tried cleaning up the living room as best as I could then I cleaned up my bedroom because you never know what could happen. I sighed with happiness making sure there was beer in the fridge. Soon Lassie would fall head over heels in love with me and we would be the perfect couple. I dreamed about this day for so long. The first day I met him I didn't realize I loved him but as time passed I fell for him.
An Hour Later
There was a knock at the door. My heart leaped happily as I went to open it. "Come on in." He walked in. "So what is it that you have to give me." I hand him the files. "Jules told me to give this to you its from the case." He sat on the couch and looked through the pages. I sat next to him. "We still have no leads." He continued flipping through the pages. "Oh. Well whoever the murderer is they must be good" I nod. "Yeah even my psychic senses haven't picked up anything." He looks at me. "Don't worry I'm sure we will crack this." I nod moving closer. "Yeah but I wish I could help more." He looks up from the papers. "What are you doing." I lean closer and kiss him. He tries pushing me away but stops and pulls me closer. I pull away. "I love you. I always have and I have been waiting so long to do that and when you kissed me earlier I knew it was time for me to make a move. I love you Carlton Lassiter." He looks at me with a confused expression on his face I knew I had to tell him about my suspicions, now was the perfect time. "Lassie can I confide something to you. He is still catching his breath. "Yeah.......sure...." I let out a breath. "Lassie, I lied. I have been having visions.......and they are telling me that you have something to do with the murders."
Lassie's POV
I stumble back onto the couch. Shit! He really was psychic. I couldn't let him find out what was really happening. He would tell the police and they would investigate and eventually find out. I had to keep the secret safe. I couldn't let them find out. My life would be ruined. "Shawn? How could that even be possible you know me! I would never have anything to do with a murder." I push him hard onto the couch and crawl over him. "I love you!" I had to play along to keep my secret safe. He smiles. "Really?" I nod. "Yes since forever." I kiss him softly and he pulls me closer to him. "Want to go up to my room?" He winks and I force a smile. "Nothing would make me happier." He leads me to his room and pushes me onto the bed roughly. "You are mine now." He takes his shirt off. My eyes travel down his body. He was really attractive. What the hell was I saying! This was a game....just a game to keep my secret safe. I couldn't fall in love with him......not for real. He climbs on top of me and starts kissing my neck leaving hickies. I moan. "Mmmm Shawn..." He smirks. "You like that Lassie?" I bite my lip. "Yesss." He yanks my shirt off and unbuckles my pants. I feel myself grow hard. "Shawn! Yesss!!" He starts kissing down my body. "You look yummy." I moan loudly. "Fuck me Spencer! God! Fuck me now!" I let him suck me off. I moan uncontrollably and actually found myself enjoying it. I had to do whatever it took so my secret wouldn't get out even if I had to pretend to love Shawn for the rest of my life.
