How I Became Savannah Solo Part 4

Monday February 1st

Hey sorry this was a little late but i'm also posting another chapter today too! don't forget to vote please! - Blaire

 I woke up at 6:15 and got ready. I packed my soccer bag and got ready for school. I went to the training room and talked to Kirk. Kirk cleared me to play but I still had to treatment this morning and I had to ice it after my games until he said otherwise. First hour ended and we headed to 2nd hour. I asked Coach Barron out into the hall so I could talk to him.

Barron: so can you play?
Me: yes but that's not what I needed to say
Barron: oh what is it?
Me: well I'm going to be on the roster for Olympic Qualifying. I leave on the 7th and will be back the 22nd. We also will be having the She Believe cup on the 28th and I will probably be on that roster too.
Barron: you'll be back for the championship right?
Me: I will... So you're not mad?
Barron: it sucks that we won't have you until the last match but I'm happy you're playing for our country. Well let's head back to class
Me: thank you and of course.

My classes went by quickly and then went home to let Duke out. I came back and had German. Brad picked up Duke and picked up the food while I got the jerseys hung up in our lockers. We headed up the field house and ate before loading up the bus. It was about 30 minutes to Newbell. The bus pulled up and we went to the bench. Brad wrapped my ankle and then I led the warmups. We went through some passing drills and then got practice shots before huddling up for the prayer and our chant.

We took the field and the ref blew the whistle. Newbell sent it back. Our team pressured and won a corner. Megan took the corner and sent the ball in perfectly. I timed my run and headed it into the goal to make it 1-0. Newbell kicked off again and they kept possession of it. Allie finally won the ball in the defensive third and passed to Mary. Mary passed it out wide for me to run on to. I went up the wing and cut it back towards the post. I saw Megan making the run and I passed the ball to the pk line. Megan ran on and slotted it past the keeper to put us up 2-0. The whistle blew for halftime.

Halftime ended and we took the field again. I sent it back and we kept possession. We slowed down the game and practically played keep away. Megan passed to me and I went up the field. I out ran the first two defenders running for the ball. I did a move around the first defender and then nutmegged the last one before taking my shot. It went past the keeper to put us up 3-0. For the last 10 minutes we kept the ball and. The final whistle blew and we shook hands and got our cool down. We got back to the school and unloaded. I went home showered and went to bed. 

Tuesday

I woke up at 6:15 and did my normal school routine.My classes dragged on and finally it was lunch. My mom texted and said she would let Duke out so I sat and ate with Brad and our friends. I went to German and then for 7th hour I went to talk to Mr. Ainsworth.

Mr.A: Savannah come in.
Me: thank you.
Mr.A: so what do you need?
Me: Well I have Olympic Qualifying this month. I leave on the 7th. I will be back the 23rd -28th and then I have the She Believes cup in Tampa.
Mr.A: wow that's a lot. There is one problem. On the 1st you are supposed to take the ACT.
Me: what if I could take it in Tampa?
Mr.A: I can try to make that happen.
Me: Great thank you
Mr.A: Thank you for telling me.
Me: of course bye Mr. Ainsworth.
Mr.A: bye Savannah

I went home and did homework before I ate dinner. I took Duke for his run and then showered and went to bed.
