How I Became Savannah Solo Part 4

Sunday February 21st

Ashlyn and I woke up at 6:15 and went down to the lobby to meet Hope, Ali, Kelley, Alex, and Tobin. The 7 of us walked to the coffee shop and got out drinks. We sat down and talked about the game.

Hope: so how do you feel about the line Baby Horse?
Me: nervous, I'm actually on the left wing and its Canada
Tobin: well I'll be there with you
Alex: plus, sometimes I go down the left side anyways
Kelley: well sorry to interrupt but it's breakfast time I'll race you back.
Me: but you didn't say go!

Kelley had already taken off so I pushed past Hope and went after her. We made it back and I barely won. Kelley tackled me again and I pinned her to the ground. Suddenly I was in the air.

Hope: really again?
Kelley: she always wins
Me: that doesn't mean you can cheat
Hope: enough now you two go eat.

We fixed our plates and sat down. Ryan and I watched Veggie Tales and did my German work. Once I finished Kelley took Ryan and I went to find Tobin. I found her in the lobby looking for me. We got a soccer ball and then went out to play soccer tennis until lunch. We went in and ate before loading the bus. In the locker room we put on our warmup gear and went out. After warmup we put on our jersey and jackets and did walk out.

We got out break and then took the field. The whistle blew and Canada kicked off. The first half was rough. Canada kept Alex and I locked down, every time we got the ball we were either double teamed or fouled. The halftime whistle blew and Alex and I were beyond frustrated. Alex and I talked about what we were going to do in the next half and headed back out.

We went back out and the ref blew the whistle. We kicked off and kept the ball. At the box we lost it and Canada cleared it out. Broon won the ball. Canada's defense had pushed up after the clear so Broon sent in a long ball. Alex was too far back so I was the only one to run onto it. The Canadian keeper was coming out so I flicked the ball over her and into the net before she could jump on it. I turned and ran to Alex. I hopped on her back and she jogged over to our teammates.

We set back up and Canada kicked off. We fought over the ball for a while. Tobin won the ball and I made a run down the left flank. I got the ball and nut megged my defender and made the cross to the middle of the box. Alex ran onto it and took the shot. It went in the near post to make it 2-0. Alex ran to me and hugged me. Soon Kelley was on top of the both of us. We set back up. Nobody else scored and Hope only had to make 1 big save. The final whistle blew and we celebrated.

Tobin got the player of the match and went to the interview. Some of the girls did some autographs and then went to the locker room. I knew it was full of alcohol so I hung back and did more autographs and picture. About 30 minutes later I headed to the locker room. Everyone was finished taking pictures and were packing up. I changed and then got on the bus.

Kelley: Baby Horse!
Me: hey squirrel
Kelley: you had a fantastic game
Me: so did you
Kelley: why thank you!
Me: you're a little drunk aren't you?
Kelley: maybe a little
Me: well lets go eat then
Kelley: okay!

We fixed our plates and ate dinner. After we ate we had movie night in mine and Ashlyn's room. The movie ended and Hope, Alex, and Tobin left. Me, Kelley, and Ali were asleep before the movie had ended so the girls just left us.
