How I Became Savannah Solo Part 4

Tuesday February 23rd

I woke up at 6 and called Brad.

Brad: hey baby what's up
Me: Well...
Brad: oh lord what do you need?
Me: chic-fil-a and Starbucks?
Brad: and Starbucks?
Me: please I'll open the training room for you
Brad: alright I will see you at school then
Me: thank you babe I love you
Brad: I love you too.

I hung up with Brad and let Duke out. I went to the bathroom and fixed my hair and makeup. I went to my closet and put on my Nike leggings, white Nike hoodie, and then my pink uggs. I got my cheer bag and soccer bag ready and then put Duke in his cage. I started my Audi and headed to school. I unlocked the training room and started setting up. Kirk came in around 7:15.

Kirk: Solo you're back, congratulations on qualifying!
Me: thank you and yes I am back until Friday.
Kirk: wow so soon?
Me: yeah we have the She Believes cup in Tampa.
Kirk: how's the ankle?
Me: iffy
Kirk: that's not good hop up and let me look at it.

I hopped up as Brad came in. Brad walked over and handed my food and drink to me.

Kirk: well it doesn't look worse as of now. Brad you can go make the coolers and Solo go put your ankle in the whirlpool.
Me: really?
Kirk: yes, now go
Me: ugh fine.

I went and put my foot in the cold whirlpool and Brad went to make the coolers. Other people came in and got treatments. 1st hour started and Brad and I ate our breakfast while Kirk taught his lesson to the trainees. The bell rang and we grabbed our bags before heading to Barron's room. As we walked in Barron called me over.

Barron: Solo come here
Me: yes, sir
Barron: turn in all the work you have on my desk and then head down to Mr. Ainsworth's office.
Me: alright?

I turned in my work and then headed down stairs to the main office. I knocked on the door and walked in.

Mr. A: Savannah please have a seat
Me: okay
Mr. A: So I set up for you to take the ACT at Blooming Dale high school in Valrico FL. You need to be there by 8am Monday Morning.
Me: alright thank you
Mr. A: of course and congratulations on your wins and good luck to the final and your next tournament
Me: thank you, bye Mr. Ainsworth
Mr. A: bye Savannah

I went back to class and copied Coach Barron's notes. My next 3 classes went by quickly. I turned in my work and made up tests that I could take online while I was gone. At lunch time I went home and let Duke out. I went back to school and had 6th hour with Kiley and Megan.

Kiley: hey Solo are you going to cheer at the championship for basketball game at Benjamin Franklin.
Me: yeah I am pretty sure. Our soccer final is the next day at De La Salle.
Megan: yeah we go down that morning of the game
Kiley: well Garvin said whoever is going would be staying at the hotel with the basketball players. We don't know who is going yet she hasn't told us.
Me: well if she doesn't say then I'll ask her before I head to soccer.

Class ended and Kiley and I changed and headed to cheer. We did stretches and then were practicing stunts when Garvin everyone over.

Garvin: as you know girl's basketball has their final this Friday. We aren't bringing everyone because those who are going will be riding with the team since Mrs. Brothers and I cannot go. We have chosen 3 stunt groups and they are Kiley's, Claire's and Solo's. You three groups follow me please.

The 12 of us got up and followed Garvin outside. When everyone was out she started talking.

Garvin: Alright you are wearing your white uniforms at the game and your blue shirt and res shorts for the bus. You can wear your travel suit over if you prefer. The bus will be leaving at 9:30 and they will be stopping somewhere for lunch before going to the high school. You will be staying at the New Orleans Marriot. The next morning, they are leaving by 9, any questions?
Me: uh yeah what about me?
Garvin: uh if there aren't any other questions you can go, Solo stay.

The girls left and Garvin turned to me.

Garvin: I forgot about you game. We aren't allowed to just leave you there.
Me: okay what if you left me with somebody I could stay with?
Garvin: that could work who is it?
Me: well one of my retired teammates live there, Lauren Holiday.
Garvin: if you can set it up then I will let Coach Hunt know
Me: I will let you know by tomorrow morning.
Garvin: alright well you can head to soccer
Me: alright thank you
Garvin: bye Solo
Me: bye Garvin.

I went to soccer practice and we worked on formation drills. We finished and I went home. I did homework and showered. I sat down and facetimes Lauren.

Lauren: Baby Horse what's up?
Me: Well I was wondering if you would be willing to let me stay at your house for a couple hours this Saturday?
Lauren: sure but why?
Me: well my high school basketball team had their final game Friday and then they are leaving Saturday morning but our soccer team had our final Saturday night and they aren't coming down until that day.
Lauren: oh wow your high school has really good athletics a state champion football team and possible soccer and basketball.
Me: yup and state weight lifting, tennis, and swimming. Sports is the main focus of my school
Lauren: well I can watch you for a couple hours, do you need to be picked up?
Me: yeah at the New Orleans Marriot at 8:30 Saturday morning.
Lauren: I can do that. I will see you then
Me: thank you so much see you then.

I hung up with Lauren and then went to bed.
