How I Became Savannah Solo Part 4

Tuesday March 2nd

Ali and I work up at 6:30 and went down to breakfast. We finished our plates and sat down.

Kelley: how do you think you did on your test?
Me: good hopefully better than last time
Ali: oh I meant to ask what did Brad make?
Me: a 32
Ash: gosh you're both smart.
Hope: his parents are doctors so it doesn't surprise me.
Ali: is that what he is majoring in?
Me: well I'm pretty sure. He wants to go pro and at the rate he's going he'll probably make it.
Alex: what about you?
Me: I think physiology or communications
Ash: I majored in communications so did Tobs
Me: yeah I know you've told me
Tobs: oh yeah

We finished eating and then Jill came in to talk to us.

Jill: morning ladies, our practice at the stadium this morning will be an open one. That is all see you at the field.

We all changed into our practice clothes and loaded the bus. We made it to the stadium and out our cleats on. We did warmups and ball touches. We then moved into offensive drills. A lot of my shots were going wide, one even almost hit a fan. We moved into crossing drills and they set up the dummies for defenders. A cross was coming in and I was making the back post run. I headed the ball but it didn't go in.

Emily: Baby Horse!

I fell into the dummy and hit the ground along with it. I got up and Emily put it back while I limped back. We got a water break and Hope came over to me.

Hope: what is up with you today?
Me: I don't know I'm just off today
Hope: take a deep breath and just relax. Are you overthinking it?
Me: yeah probably
Hope: ankle okay? I saw you take out that dummy
Me: you saw that?
Hope: I'm pretty sure everyone did
Me: ugh but yeah it doesn't hurt any worse than normal
Hope: well let's stay on our feet the rest of the day.
Me: I'll try

We went back and I relaxed a little. I started making my shots again. I ended with a fantastic header and then Jill called practice. I avoided interviews but signed a couple autographs before heading back to the bus. At the hotel we ate lunch and I iced my ankle. I went up to my room and did my math and German homework. I went to start my English when Ashlyn came in.

Ash: hey wanna go longboard around town?
Me: can we get coffee?
Ash: sure
Me: then yeah let me change first.

I changed into my jean shorts and my white obey shirt. I put on my converse and grabbed my longboard. We went down to the lobby and took Kelley's snapback since I forgot mine.

Kelley: Baby Horse that's mine!
Me: loser's weepers, finder's keepers

I ran out before Kelley could catch me. Ash was behind me laughing. We got coffee down the street and then rode around for the next couple hours. We went back to the hotel and went to dinner. I walked in and fixed my plate and sat down.

Hope: Baby Horse give Squirrel her hat back
Me: fine here
Kelley: ew it's all sweaty
Me: sucks
Hope: Baby Horse, Squirrel enough

We ate dinner and then Jill came in.

Jill: Evening ladies, We've had a great couple of trainings. The lineup for tomorrow is a little different so listen up. Solo, Krieger, Broon, Engen, Kling, Lloyd, Horan, Heath, HAO, Alex, and Baby Horse. Bus leaves at 5:15 and goodnight.

We cleared our tables and we had movie night in Kelley and Tobin's room. After the movie we left and went to our own rooms. Ali and I showered and then went to bed.
