Ashlyn and I got up at 6:30 like normal and we got ready. We met Hope, Ali, and Kelley in the lobby and then we went to get coffee. We all ordered and then sat down at a table.

Me: so my high school plays the 2nd round of playoffs today.
Ali: who are you playing?
Me: Mandeville, we've beaten them 2-0 already this season but both of those were my goals. I'm sure they will do fine I'm just nervous because I can't be there to help.
Ash: that's understandable, but I'm sure they will do fine,
Hope: well we better head back we still have breakfast to attend.
Kelley: race ya Baby Horse
Me: Hey! no fair you started before me
Hope: Don't break anything or anyone!

Kelley and I raced all the way back to the hotel. I won and Kelley tackled me. We were wrestling until Hope picked Kelley off of me.

Hope: 5 minutes, I leave you alone for 5 minutes. Go get your food before I take somebody's phone.
Me: that somebody's would be mine lets go Squirrel.

Kelley and I ran off and fixed our plates. We sat down and ate with the girls. Tobin and I finished and then went around the hotel and played soccer tennis until lunch. It was 12:30 and we headed to the meal room. We walked in and Ryan ran to me.

Me: hey bubba
Ryan: 'Vana up up
Me: Veggie Tales?
Ryan: yes!

I fixed our plates and sat down with him in my lap. Ryan and I ate and watched Veggie Tales. Once we finished we took our nap for the day. I woke up at 4 and I got my things ready before waking Ryan. I bought him to the bus and gave him to A-Rod. The bus pulled out and headed to the stadium. The bus parked at the back near the locker rooms and we started getting off.

Ryan: NO!
A-Rod: what's wrong Ry
Ryan: I wana go with 'Vana
A-Rod: she had her own thing to do bubz
Ryan: 'Vana please!
Me: it's okay I don't mind taking him
A-Rod; I'm sorry he hasn't been this attached to anyone since Cheney. Oh you're his new Cheney
Me: well I am completely fine with that I love my little man
A-Rod: well here's the monkey
Ryan: 'Vana!

Ryan climbed into my arms and we got off. We went into the locker room and changed into our warmup gear. As I put on my socks Ryan stood in my locker and put his arms around my shoulders so every time I l leaned forward he came with me. Once I put on my socks Ryan and I sat in my locker and I did my visualization. It was time for warm ups so I gave Ryan to Pam.

We did our dynamic warmup and then passes for a bit. The defenders split off and did long balls, midfield and subs played keep away, and forwards did shots. We went back into the locker room and put on our jerseys and walk out jackets. We did the anthem and introductions before getting the starting 11 picture. We got our break and took the field.

The ref blew the whistle and we had kick off. Alex sent the ball to Tobin who sent in the air. I jumped up and headed it over the defense for Alex to run onto. Alex let it bounce and then shot making it 1-0 in 12 seconds.

Announcer: Alex Morgan with the goal. That has got to be one of the fastest goals in Qualifying history. Tobin Heath with the ball in the air, it comes off 17-year-old Savannah Solo's head to Alex Morgan who's first touch was the goal.

We set back up and Costa Rica kicked off. We played for a bit until I got fouled in the box. The ref called for a PK and Carli set up to take it. The ref blew the whistle and Carli nailed it to make it 2-0.

Announcer: A foul on Baby Horse in the box, Carli Lloyd with PK to put the US up by 2 in the 9th minute.

We set back up and both teams fought for the ball. I got the ball at the top of the 18 and I beat my defender. I shot the ball and kept it low and it went into the right corner.

Announcer: Baby Horse from the top of the 18 with a laser of a shot to put the US up 3-0 in the 15th minute.

We set back up but nobody scored again in the 1st half. We went to the locker room for halftime. We came out and set up. Costa Rica kicked off and we fought over the ball. We finally got a break and I won the ball. I worked my way up the right side and crossed to Alex who headed it past the goalie.

Announcer: Goal Alex Morgan in the 62nd minute. Her second goal of the night assisted by Baby Horse again... Throw in for the US who is going to sub. Engen in for Johnston and Press in for Lloyd.

The throw came in and Tobin won the ball. Tobin crossed it in from the left and Press took a touch and shot.

Announcer: Press with the 5th goal for the US. Assist from Tobin Heath. Its 5-0 here in Frisco in the 83rd minute.

Nobody else scored and the ref blew the whistle. We celebrated and Dawn handed out the recovery drinks. We went around and did autographs and some had to do interviews. Luckily I didn't but Alex had an interview. Once we finished we went to the locker room. Some of us showered and changed before getting on the bus. The bus drove us back to the hotel and we unloaded. Kelley and I got snacks and then went to our rooms. I iced my ankle while Ashlyn showered. Ashlyn came out and we both went to bed.
