*If you haven't read the first book, Loving a Mikaelson, don't read this one, haha.

Klaus's POV

"No. That's impossible. Vampires cannot procreate." I growl, arguing my point.

"But werewolves can. Magic made you a vampire, but you were born a werewolf. Both of you were born wolves. This pregnancy is one of nature's loopholes. Jane-Anne sacrificed her life to confirm this pregnancy. Because of her sacrifice, we are now in control of Lacey's life. If you don't help us, so help me God, Lacey won't live to see her first maternity dress." Sophie threatens.

"What?" Lacey growls, staring at the witch with accusing and confused eyes.

"Enough of this, if you want Marcel dead, he's dead, I'll do it myself." Elijah says. "No. Not yet. We have a clear plan that we need to follow and there are rules." At this point, I'm near to shaking with anger. I turn to face Sophie Deveraux. "How dare you command me." I roar. My eyes are red, my blood boiling. Someone will die.

"HOW DARE YOU THREATEN ME! WITH WHAT YOU PERCEIVE TO BE MY WEAKNESSES! Elijah, I am done here. I've had enough of these lies. We are going." Elijah sighs. "Niklaus,"

"Listen." As the room goes quiet, my vampire hearing picks up the sounds of heartbeats. The three witches, and one more. One inside of Lacey. But Lacey no longer has a heartbeat. It's something else. Someone else. It's very faintly, but steady. My eyebrows furrow as Lacey's eyes met mine. I can no longer come up with any explanations, any denial. My mind goes blank.

"Can you give us a minute?" Lacey asks.

"I really don't - " Sophie begins. "Excuse us," I interupt. "I am going to have a little chat with my girlfriend, and you will allow it. It seems unlikely for us to find a place to escape, even if that was a concern."

"It won't take long." Lacey promises. "Just let us sit on one of the benches outside if you don't trust us in here."

"You have twenty minutes."

+ + + + +

Our hands intertwined, fingers locking together. For just a moment, we sit in silence. My hand rests in hers, her head on my shoulder.  We just stare out into the distance, neither of us really knowing what to say. "What the hell just happened?" She asks, traces of laughter and exhaustion in her tone. I chuckle.

"I'm just as clueless as you, sweetheart."

"And... What are we gonna do about it?" She asked.

"I suppose you're going to have to live here for a bit, aren't you? Think you can handle it?" She smiles. "I'll have to. Besides, I'm not alone anymore."

"You'll never be alone."

Damon's POV

"Klaus." I saiy answering the phone. "Any news? Did you find her?" I asked nervously. "Aw. Was someone actually worried? How cute." Says a cheerful voice on the other end of the line.  "I swear to God, Lacey if you ever do that again I will rip your bloody heart from your chest. Do you hear me? Where are you? Com home. Now."

"Damon, please. You don't understand."

"Oh yeah? What part of you're being a brat don't I understand? You ran away like an idiot, now you're coming home. End of story." She sighs. "Damon, it's more complicated than that. I didn't run away. Trust me, I'd be back in a second if I could. I'll explain everything but I need you to meet me."

"Fine. Where are you? The Grill?"

"Not even close. The City That Care Forgot. I guess I'll be seeing you in New Orleans, Damon. I'll text you the address." And with a click, the call is disconnected. After using a few choice words to no one in particular, I call Stefan to bring him up to speed.

Stefan's POV

I sighed as the car screechs  to a halt. We've driven all the way to Louisianna, this better be important. I have no idea what the hell will go down when I walk through those doors. I don't even know if I want to know. I open the car door, standing up and stretching. We walk to the door, I knock, waiting patiently. The door opens to reveal Lacey beaming at us. "Hey! You guys made it!" She exclaims. I smiled. "Like we had a choice." Damon scowls. "This better be important."

She grins, gesturing us inside. Lacey leads us to the living room. We sit down, Lacey sits next to Klaus, who just happens to be on the other side of the room. Lacey and Klaus, Damon and I, Rebekah, Kol, Elijah are all in the room. No one except Klaus and Lacey know what's going on. Tensions couldn't be higher.

"We have something to tell you. All of you." Lacey looks around the room, eyeing every face.

"I'm pregnant."

Two words and two seconds was all it took for all hell to break loose.
