Kol's POV

Chapter 5: Kol in My Stocking

Waking up early, I find myself walking past Lacey's room. Instead of heading to the kitchen to get breakfast, I lean against the doorway, watching her sleep. The sun is just beginning to rise, shining on her light brown hair. "Looks like I have a stalker." She mumbles, prying her eyes open and smirking at me. I smirked. "Best stalker ever." I joke.

She chuckles. "If you say so." She sits up, yawning and stretching. "Are you staying in here? Or can I change clothes on my own?"

"I think I'll stay." I said, smirk cheekily. She shrugs. "Suit yourself. But don't thik I'm changing in front of you, pedophile." She grabs clothes from her drawers, bringing them to the bathroom. I hear the sweak of the faucet, and the sound of running water, and decide I've overstayed my welcome. My unwelcome welcome, that is.

Lacey's POV

The hot water runs across my body, steam clouded the glass. I massage the coconut shampoo through my hair, breathing in the scent of it all. I notice a small snowflake flutter down outside the bathroom window. I smile. I love winter. Wait a second. What is today? I rinse the shampoo from my hair, and finish my shower, shutting off the searing water.

I quickly towel-dry my hair, and put on my clothes. Walking out of the bathroom, I go back into my room. Kol has left, despite his strange keeness on frustrating me by staying. The bastard gets under my skin like crazy. I rememver to check my phone for the date.

Holy crap! It's Christmas Eve! Time to show these Mikaelsons some holiday spirit.

I walk into the kitchen. I'd been too lazy to do my makeup, and left my hair alone, which is still damp. It will dry naturally, and form waves. I pour orange juice into a glass, grabbing a pop-tart from the pantry. Hey, hybrids like sprinkles too! Instead of bringing my 'breakfast' into the dining room or parlor, I eat on the counter. Antisocial people are always cooler than normal ones. When I finish devouring the heaven food, I go to the living room.

I smirk at the sight of Klaus, Elijah, and Kol sitting comfortably in their armchairs. "Morning, love." Klaus says with a smirk. I stare at him strangely. They're all just sitting as if it's a normal day. "Morning? Doo you know what morning it is?? What's wrong with you people?!" I exclaim.

Kol raises his eyebrows. "It's Tuesday, darling." I roll my eyes. "Are you serious? It's Christmas Eve!" Their faces remain emotionless. My eyes widenen. "Seriously?! You don't even have a tree! I'm going Christmas shopping!" I announce.

Klaus chuckle. "Not so fast. Remember what happened the last time you went out? You can't even stay here alone without getting hit in the head with a bloody frying pan!" I notice a sly smirk appearing on Kol's cheeks at this remark. "Then someone come with me!" He shakes his head. "I'm meeting with Marcel in..." He checks his watch.

"Now."

I sigh. "Elijah?" He shakes his head. "As it is, I have to pleasure of helping Davina Clair. My apologies, I'm sure I'm missing such thrills." I scowl. "Kol's the only one without a social life. That's a shocker.Looks like you're coming with me, stalker."

"Oh, really?"

"Yep. You're going Christmas shopping."

Kol's POV

Her face glows as she leads me around the maze of evergreens. "This one!" She exclaims, pointing to a particular tree. I groan loudly. "This is ridiculous. How did I let you talk me into this?" She grins. "Not everyone has to be an original to compel a vampire." She winks jokingly, causing me to laugh harder than I should've.
