Chapter 27: Caught

Melina's Point of View

God, this Hybrid was annoying! I wasn't ready for them to know I had an army, at least not yet. I wanted it to be a huge shocker, a surprise, but I guess I can still work with this minor mishap.

"Awwe, it's the hybrid and her dog." I mocked playfully, rolling my eyes at the tan boy.

The hybrid gasped, while the mutt growled.

"Don't talk to my daughter like that!" Bella hissed at me, attempting to lunge, but Edward held her back.

I laughed. "Or what. You going to kill me Isabella?"

Shock covered her face, I smirked a little. I knew all of them, everything about their past, present, and their futures. Something I stole from Alice. Sorry, I forgot to mention I'm a power thief.

"How'd you know my name?" She questioned.

I chuckled, and looked over at Matthew who looked just as shocked.

"I have my ways." I paused, and looked at Jasper. "Matter a fact, I know all of you."

"That's preposterous!" Edward yelled.

"Don't test me, Eddie." I growled.

It was his turn to smirk, along with his trollop of a wife.

"Edward Anthony Mason Cullen.. Born June 20,1901. Stuck In the body of a 17 year old. Contracted a Spanish diesease, and was slowly dying, that is until Dr. Carlisle Cullen changed you." I stated.

Silence fell upon everyone as I stood there with my arms crossed, and my smile intact. This is exactly what I wanted, control. I had the art of surprise, they knew nothing about me, but I knew everything there was to know about them. Very weird family, might I add.

"What do you want?" The hybrid child asked from behind the mutt.

"Oh sweetie, I only want what's mine." I replied.

"That will not be happening any time soon."

I snapped my head In the direction of the voice, to see Aro re entering the room.

"Oh dear brother, let's be fair." I said nicely.

"Your right let's be fair, you tell me where my granddaughter is, and I'll figure something out."

I thought for a second. I could take his deal, but He could switch on me last minute... Plus I assembled this army.

"Who's helping you?" Edward asked.

I smiled. "What do you mean?"

He scoffed. "Someone you trust has to be helping you. You wouldn't leave your hostage with someone weak and untrustworthy."

I laughed a bit. "You're right." I trailed off looking at Jasper.

He looked puzzled, as did Edward. See I had managed to steal Bella's ability. I shielded my thoughts and emotions from Jasper and Edward.

"And it's someone you know very well, Major." I finished happily.

Jasper's eyes widened in shock and anger soon filled them.

"No.." He whispered to himself, but I still heard.

Everyone else around the room looked confused and concerned, with the exception of Carlisle and Alice.

"Jasper what is she talking about?" Emmett asked.

Jasper sighed running his fingers through is bronze colored hair. "Back when I was human, I was In the Civil war." he paused and took a deep breath. "I was the best of the best. My leader Maria, made me Major. We were close, basically lovers. But she betrayed me. I hate her with every drop of non existent blood in my body." He hissed.

Everyone looked back at me. "Melina, please." Alice choked out.

I smirked evilly at her misery.

"Please don't hurt my sister, miss." The Hybrid, who I discovered now was named Nessie, begged me, tear glazing over Her eyes.

"Now, little one, your sister is safe, but you know my friend Maria is very short tempered. Isn't that right, Jazz?" I asked, staring directly at him.

"That is it! I've heard enough! Jane, Demitri, escort her to the guest room. Any sneaky moves hurt her, bad." Aro commanded.

"Yes, Master." They bowed. I scoffed, typical Aro. Jane Roughly grabbed my arm and dragged me down the hall.

Ness POV

I stood there next to Jake, pulling off, In my opinion the best scared face that I could. I looked over to my mother and patted her arm. Instantly, I had her attention.

"Mommy, can you shield my thoughts for a few minutes, I need to think." I whispered. She looked worried but expanded her shield anyway.

I smirked. You see, I met Melina a few days ago. She told me her plan to take the throne, but She would need to use my sister as bait. I agreed instantly, telling her where my sister was staying.

I know where Maria is keeping my sister, but they don't need to know that. Why? You ask. The answer is simple, I'm tired of my parents stressing about her. If she dies in the midst of all of this craziness, then it is what it is, I won't miss her.

~Flashback~

"Rosie! Come hunt with me!" I giggled.

Rosie rolled her eyes and flicked her hair. "No thanks, Ness."

I shrugged her off, and continued to go hunting anyway. After catching 2 deers and a saber cat, I ran to the reserve to see my Jake. When I arrived, I ran into Sam.

"Hey Sam!" I waved.

His eyes widened and He faked a smile. "Hey, young one."

I furrowed my eyebrows. "Where's, Jake?"

"U-upstairs, but I don't think-" I cut him off and ran ulstair to Jake's room.

I knocked, and there was muffling from inside the room. "Who is it?" He called out.

"Me, Ness." I replied.

"Just a minute."

I ignored his comment and barged inside. I stopped In my tracks, the scene before me made My heart break and shatter.

It was my Jake and a half naked Roslice Peeking out of the closet.

"Ness..-" I ran out of the house and into the forest as fast as my little legs would carry me.

I grimaced at the thought of that day. But regardless Jake was mine and I was his. I forgave him, but I did what I had to, to make sure Roslice didn't take him, I told my dad.

They locked her up In her room and everything went from there, that is until Jasper showed up.

I realized that Aro was ranting, so I excused myself from the room.

I hadn't noticed that anyone was following me until someone pushed me against the wall... Jasper.

"Where is She?!" He Hissed.

I looked puzzled.

"Don't play dumb with me, I felt your emotions!"

My eyes widened and He smirked. "Yeah, your mom removed Her shield after you got done with your "thinking.." He said putting air quotes around the word thinking.

I started to shake, afraid He was on to me...that is until We heard a familiar voice.

"Jasper! Unhand my daughter!" My dad yelled.

Jasper stepped away, growls escaping his lips.

"Your daughter knows something, protect her if you want, but don't get upset when I end up killing her!" He said pointing at me, and stalked off.

I shrunk behind my father as he hissed. I was shaking out of my wits, as my father kneeled in front of me.

"He won't lay a hand on you." He reassured me. I nodded, but that wasn't what I was worrying about. The only question I had was, what did Jasper Whitlock know?
