I hear Prim's cry in the background as I am ushered up to the stage by military officials. Effie tells me to sit in the chair at the end of the row.

"Well that concludes the girls. Now on to the boys." says Effie.

Me, why me? how is this possible? there are thousands of names and they choses me? why?

I realize I have tuned out most of the boys. I should probably listen, who know who will be in my unit.

"Number 19, Percy Talebot. Come on up my dear!" Effie says enthusiastically. Percy sits in front of me. I can tell he is crying, he's shaking and I see two little kids clinging to a women screaming ''daddy, daddy''.

Poor guy. It's not unusual to have kids at 18. There are rumors that they might be drafting more.

"Number 20," Effie pauses with a dramatic flourish. half way through I think to myself "Peeta Mellark," Effie finishes.

No, not him. Not Peeta. Thing just got 10 times worse.
