A jet plane lands on the roof I notice the rest of my unit is on the roof top too. As a bored the jet I notice Boggs is here. The jet ride is short and soon we land in a field. There are other unit all around. We claim a spot and set up camp. Since we are young we won't be in the heart of the battle. But we still need to be cautious.
We spend the day target practicing with targets that Boggs brought along. The day goes by quickly and soon it is time for dinner. We have a simple dinner containing chicken and mash potatoes, and retreat to our tents. I have to share a tent with Johanna, this will be fun.
After about 10:00 Boggs came to each tent to wake us up. I realize he is being quiet making sure not to wake up any other units. This is odd.
Then he tells us everything. Ever since we started training our trainer have been watching us. The drafting was rigged so that all of us would be drafted and put in a unit together. Boggs has secretly been working with North America, "The Rebels". There will be a fake bombing and us all of us are going to "die" including Boggs. Then we will work for the rebels if we so choose, if not we can leave and stay in hiding.
I can't believe this is happening I feel many emotions, anger, confusion, and hatred. I didn't have to be here the drafting was rigged. I could be sitting at home with my mother and Prim. How is this happening. I have to work with the rebels. Its my chance to rebel against Panem. Yet I'm still angry. My family is going to think I'm dead. Then it hits me.
My father!
I look at Boggs, "What about unit 13579?" I ask. He looks at me, confusion in his eyes. Then he registers what I just said. "Oh , yes that was planned to happen, but the Capitol of Panem caught on the what we where doing and actually bombed the unit. Only 2 made it out. The bombing is to happen in the next two days. The we will travel to City 13.
My father could be alive!! He could be working with The Rebels!!
