Delilah comforted Edward sadly, not because she pitied Ed but for that she somewhat wanted to make Jenny and Jace feel like they weren't the only ones who were 'in love' , especially since Jenny and Jace disappeared together. She didn't want to be left out alone with Ed together with James, she kind of wanted Jace.Jace was the leader of the gang, he was daring and courageous. Delilah and Jace found Becky (or Jenny), Ed and James together yesterday which seemed like it happened just years ago.
She didn't know what she was feeling. Sure, Edward gives her the butterflies and the chills but when Jace was with Jenny, she felt... Pain.
But right now, she couldn't feel the butterflies anymore when she was with Edward. James was 'third wheeling' and Del secretly thanked him for that.
"Uhh...I think it's okay now," Edward sighs, pushing Delilah away. Delilah smiled and turned to James, who was fast asleep.
They then heard footsteps. Delilah screamed, "What was that!?" resulting to James waking up and hiding behind her.
"Let's go upstairs, let's hurry!" James suggests.
"Not yet, Jace and Jenny aren't here," Delilah grinned.
Edward shivered, "I hear footsteps upstairs."
Suddenly, Jenny appeared without Jace.
Delilah was the first to notice Jace's disappearance.
"Where's Jace!? Wasn't he with you awhile ago? What did you do to him?" Delilah moved backwards, Edward gulped and James hid behind Delilah.
Jenny giggled, "He got excited that he ran upstairs all by himself."
Edward stood up. "I'm coming with him, I'm not leaving my cousin--" suddenly, he tripped and another wounded scar appeared on his leg, a lot bigger than the other.
"Delilah, you go chase after Jace. James and I will stay here," Jenny says, she then turns to Edward, wiping his bruise.
Edward groaned even louder.
"Can I come with Del?" James asks.
Delilah approaches him and kneels down, "James, I don't want you to get in trouble. I promise I'll come back for you alright? Don't worry," she hugs James.
James sniffs, "Promise?"
Delilah held out her pinkie, "Promise."
She scurries upstairs carelessly, what she needed to focus now was Jace. She heard someone whisper 'dead' on her right ear but it didn't stop her.
But it did bother her a little.
When she arrived on the second floor, there were bloody footprints all in one track. Should she follow it? Would she die if she did?
