8:The hunt begins

On exactly six in the evening....

Five friends are in front of the haunted building they've been roaming around since yesterday.

Jace.

Delilah.

Edward.

James.

And Jenny, who was in the body of Becky, whose soul they are about to save.

They had come back to retrieve their friend Becky's soul and place her back in her body which was now controlled by her selfish long lost sister Jenny.

"The plan is we go to the second floor right where we last found Becky," Delilah says. "And don't stress yourselves out, we will make it out alive," then she turned to Jenny, "right Jen?"

Jenny nodded, she was still uncomfortable with Becky's body and kept scratching her upper arm which was slowly turning red. "I have completely forgotten about Becky's allergies," then she grumbled, "let's go."

She still had the teddy bear on her hand which made Edward suspicious.

"What's with the bear?" Edward asks, annoyed by its looks since it was all damaged and it showed a creepy smile which reminded him of his own sister.

Jenny paused. "Nothing, it's sort of my favorite souvenir. Let's not waste any more time then, we must get out before eight thirty or whatsoever."

James hugs Delilah, "I'm scared."

He sounded as if he was drunk, Delilah hugged him back tightly. "I'll protect you."

Jace, who was the only child, felt like a third wheel with Edward, Delilah, James and Jenny having siblings.

He just stood quietly, admiring the faces that they all had; the look he soon will occur on his face once they are inside.

"Let's go," he says with a manly voice. "Jenny's right, let's not waste our time," then he rushed inside the building.

The wind blew harder than before and it was cold. Jenny and Jace were the only ones not shivering for Jenny couldn't feel anything (also she was used to the creeps and the coldness.)

Jace tried to look confident but inside, he was panicking.

As they climbed the stairs, Edward tripped and his legs now had a huge bruise since there were nails all over the stairs. Delilah helped Edward and grabbed her handkerchief and placed it on his bruise gently.

"That surely hurts," James whispered to Jenny and Jenny nodded silently. Edward tried not to cry while Delilah helped him.

"Are you alright?" Jace asks, comforting him but as soon as he touched Edward, Edward screamed "owww!!!" in a cute crying baby voice, Jace moved backwards, avoiding more accidents.

Delilah hugs Edward, "It's alright," then chuckles, "you cry like a baby"

"Yeah whatever," Edward rolls his eyes.

Jace felt a little struck of jealousy that hit his heart, he never admired Delilah... He NEVER did, so why was he feeling this way?

Secretly, it felt good whenever he was around Delilah.

"Need help?" A voice asks and it was Jenny's.

"Excuse us for a while" Jace says and walked out of the building silently with Jenny, "we'll be back"

With Delilah, her eyes were on Jace instead on Edward's bruise. When her and Ed hugged, she didn't feel any butterflies anymore but instead she was in pain seeing Jenny and Jace together.

James silently wept 'will we really make it out alive this time? We nearly got ourselves killed the last time we were here.... Who knows where Becky is now?'
