Delilah isn't so sure if her decision was right, but she wanted her brother James to think of her as a fun and daring sister. James never complimented her about her sisterly chores and doings since whenever Delilah does something that requires great responsibility, it wouldn't turn out so well.So this time she wanted to show James how 'fun' she actually is.
"Let's go," she whispers to James with a voice that sounded confident although she wasn't so sure of her words. If they don't make it out alive, then it would be her fault right?
Meanwhile, in a big house with a lot of maids, butlers, cooks and gardeners, we have Jace Howells.
He is excited about the idea of the game live, hide and seek since it sounded like the opposite of slut and boring that he put on his blue nikes and grins. "This ought to impress West's corporation."
His cousin Edward then stormed in his room with a sly look "I don't think we should go Jace."
Jace glanced at him and bursts into laughter, Edward just stood there silently since he was always the one laughed at.
"Are you serious? We are hella ready for this!" Jace exclaimed, noticing Edward's outfit with pants and a red t- shirt with a dinosaur logo. "I can see you're even ready."
"I searched the words West's Corporation and I have read some very unusual things about it," Edward tells his cousin, who rolled his eyes. Edward continues. "Like what Becky said yesterday, the carpenters had gone missing and most were dead while constructing the building!"
"Yeah and what else?" Jace asks, sounding uninterested.
"Anyone who goes near the unfinished building dies! They tried to interview Troy West which was the owner of that building but it seemed like he had gone missing too," Edward explains with fright.
Jace tried not to sound scared although he was a little uncertain now. But Jace would lose his reputation if he would back out of the plan, so he then said "it's worth a shot" and grabbed his cousin by the arm.
In a two story house lies Becky on her so called window seat where she'd always emote and stare at the unfinished building that was not that far from her house.
She sighed when she looked at one of her picture frames.
Mother. Father. Jenny. Becky.
Jenny was Becky's older sister who had suddenly gone missing two years ago, Becky would cry over the reason and ask why when Jenny was the one who brought light to the family.
Jenny once told Becky she was going to look at the carpenters' work two years ago and Becky didn't even care to say good bye since the two were both the best of enemies back then.
Becky had spent three hours of watching nonstop shows in Netflix that day, then she asked her parents where Jenny was.
Her parents then claimed that Jenny was last seen watching the carpenters.
That's when Becky saw one of the carpenters' dead body when she was searching for Jenny.
She never got over it.
"I'm coming for you Jenny," Becky clasps her hands.
As soon as Becky rushed out of the house, she felt like someone was watching her.
Then she felt a little confident when she saw Delilah and James.
She approaches them. "Hey guys, where are Jace and Edward?"
"We're here. Edward couldn't come since he was SO afraid," Jace mocks his cousin after making an appearance.
"That's sad," Delilah frowns, she had been crushing on Edward for a long time.
"So where do we play?" James asks.
"Inside the building," and the four rush inside.
One leaded the way, which was the eldest and the bravest, who had a heart of gold and a little charcoal for he tried not to be scared since he was devilish. Yes that's what he is.
The other tried to show how responsible she is and how mature she is too for she wants to show her younger brother a good example.
The third wasn't so scared, she told herself that today was the day she'd find her sister and conquer her fears of becoming a scaredy cat.
Lastly, the little one had no intention of being scared since he secretly knew they were all going to be in trouble, but he knew that they wouldn't really get into that much trouble.
Yeah, right.
