(Y/N)'s POV

I stick my headphones in my ears and scroll through my music, eventually deciding to listen to Heathens by Twenty One Pilots. I begin to sing along without hesitation.

All my friends are Heathens take it slow

Wait for them to ask you who you know

Please don't make any sudden moves

You don't know the half of the abuse

( x2 )

Welcome to the room of people who have rooms of people that they loved one day

Docked away

Just because we check the guns at the door doesn't mean our brains will change

From hand grenades

You'll never know the psychopath sitting next to you

You'll never know the murderer sitting next to you

You'll think "How'd I get here sitting next to you?"

And after all I said

Please don't forget

Before singing the next line, my headphones are yanked out of my ears and my eyes are quickly covered by somebody behind me.

"Guess who?" the person says, pretending to have a deep voice.

I smile once I realize who it is. I grab their hands, slide to their wrists, and twist slightly in one swift motion. The mystery person yells in agony before laughing hysterically. Krista jumps onto the couch that I was sitting on from behind me, rubbing her wrists.

"What was that for?" she asks, still out of breath from laughing.

"Hey, you know that I'm a black belt, dingus," I calmly explain while wrapping my headphones in a messy circle.

She smiles at my response.

All of a sudden, my phone starts to buzz. I pick it up and it was Eli. I stand up and tell Krista that it's important. I answer the call as I start to walk into a secluded area of the house.

It's been a long two weeks since the return of Krista. To be honest, it wasn't like those movies you'd see on TV where the best friend tries to steal the dude away from the lover and whatever. I have to admit, it was a little rocky the first few days, but we accepted the fact that I was Max's best friend and Krista was Max's girlfriend. We began hanging out with each other and now, we're basically inseparable.

She does my makeup since I'm awful at it. I got her into some video games and TV shows I watch. Max was happy that we got along so well.

We began to move boxes to the new house. When I say "we", I mean Krista and I, sometimes Max. He, Ross, and Tim are busy uploading and editing and recording. Sometimes don't see them all day.

Eli started the project already. He went around exploring every nook and cranny of Seattle and its neighboring towns for the perfect building to set a foundation for the assignment; no pun intended. I barely see him, too. I only see him in the morning at breakfast and sometimes at night for dinner. I don't get my hopes high, though. When I wake up, he's usually already out the door. At dinner, he calls me saying that he's just gonna eat out. He comes home when everybody's already in snooze town. He's taking this project very seriously.

Speaking of sleeping, the nightmares have been getting worse. I didn't tell anyone yet, not even Max or Krista. Not my parents. Not Eli. No one. I don't want to get help. I don't want to worry anyone, especially my friends. The last thing people would worry about is a kid who's having these problems. It'll go away eventually.
