CHAPTER 6:

My 7th period teacher, Ms. Teenk, was too peppy. I swear, even after 5 cups of coffee, nobody could up her pep. It was on the borderline between annoying and entertaining. There was 5 minutes until class was over and she'd given us "free-fun time!"

I turned to Lilli, at my left. She was staring at front row. "Do you know him?" she asked. I followed her gaze. She was staring at Trevor. He'd been my neighbor since we were 4 and we used to be really close. He was lanky, had dark curly hair, and had to wear glasses for his near-sightedness. "Yea, that's Trevor, my neighbor, and he's single." I said with a sing-song voice as I nudged her. She flushed a little. "After 4th period, I ran smack into him and all he did was laugh when I spilled my water on him. He was so sweet." her blush intensified as she explained. "Wanna come over on Friday?" I asked her. "You can see Trevor..." I taunted. She blushed but agreed.

Finally, the bell had rung. Freedom was here! I walked to my locker hoping to get to the parking lot before it became backed up, when I felt someone grab my elbow and spin me around. It was Liam.

"What's going on with you and the new kid?" he demanded. "None of your business, as of last week Liam. You certainly made sure of that." I said and rolled my eyes at him. I turned back to my locker, grabbed my stuff, and shoved it my backpack. "Excuse me." I said pointedly to Liam. He didn't budge. He just stared at me and I feel the aggression starting to roll off him. I started to push past him, but he grabbed my arm roughly. I turned and attempted to stare him down. "Let. Me. Go." I said quietly. "No" was all he said before he shoved me in the nearby classroom.
