A piece of me

Karin's POV: It's gone?! How did I lose it? I had it on me at all times. I need to retrace my steps. I remember having it this morning when I woke up and brushed my teeth. I always clean off the dust and dirt. I run to my house where I slam open the door. Yuzu is there while Dad was helping out a patient. "Hey sis, whatcha doing?" I stop to ask her. "Have you seen my necklace?" She puts her hand on her chin as she's trying to think back. "Hmmm, I'm pretty sure you had it at when you left home. And remember you having it during lunch today too. If you found out after school its probably still at school." That was almost half of the day! How long does she stare at me? ... That just sounds weird. "Thanks! See you at dinner." I say as I run back out the door.

*However long it takes to get to school*

The school doesn't close until later on which is good for me. I run to my classroom to see some students still there but they were just doing some work. I look around the classroom for my necklace. Under the desks, in the corners, on the back counter, even in the flower pot. The other students asked what I was looking for but they couldn't help. I search behind the school where I had gym. I looked around the track and in the grass, the bleachers and beyond the fence. Nothing. I then walked to the front of the school when I see something shiny on the ground. I get down for a closer look. Its a broken clasp. Was it from my necklace? Is this why I lost my necklace? I sigh and look around this area. Still nothing. By this time the school is closing its gates and the remaining students are leaving. They suggest that I come back tomorrow. Maybe someone found it and will give it to me tomorrow. I hope they're right.

*The next day*

I couldn't sleep last night. I need my necklace back. I can't let Toshiro know that I lost it though. So I'll go to school early. Yuzu questions me why and I tell her the reason. She understands and decides to walk with me to school. We enter school and go to our lockers to change our school. I see and envelope in my locker. I open it and I can't believe what I see. "My ... my neckalce! Who-?" There is also a letter. I open it and start to read it. All it says is: Try not to lose anything else Rin-hime. Toshiro. He actually found it himself? How did he find it? Well one thing's for sure, I don't need to keep this from him now.

*During lunch*

"Toshiro! Where did you find it?" I ask him. "It was in the front of the school. The clasp was missing but I repaired it. You're welcome my Rin-hime." I feel the warmth in the cheeks. "T ... thank you." I say as I fiddle with my fingers.

Toshiro's POV: I'm glad I found it. But I probably shouldn't tell her how it was lost. I lean towards her and place a kiss on her forehead. I know how she feels for me. But I can't tell her my feelings. I don't want her to get hurt but I also want to see her happy. After I place a kiss on her forehead I look at her face turn red. She's adorable.
