I am so sorry for the delay. Things came up and I couldn't think of ways to incorporate things I wanted to put into this chapter in a smooth way. Some things were left out of this chapter but will be put into the next chapter. And I promise the wait won't be as long. Enjoy :D

Toshiro's POV: "Toshiro ... I ... I can't. I can't tell you." "Why can't you tell me?" I ask her. "I just can't" "Karin!" I shout. "We've been friends for years now. What's so important, so wrong that you can't tell me?!" I shout at her. "I JUST CAN'T OKAY?!" I moved back. I just stare at her with a caring face. She realizes what she just did and seemed to have calmed down. "I'm sorry. Just ... please understand. I can't tell you, not just yet." She said staring at the ground. I grab her hand so she would look at me. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have been so demanding. I'm just worried about you." She nods as I let her go. She walks past me towards her classroom. I hear whispering and look to the end of the staircase. It was Kiyoshi. She runs off and I didn't bother following her. I knew why she was there. After what seemed like hours, I finally decide to go to class.

*Time skip to afterschool

Karin's POV: Afterschool I was walking to my locker when something caught my eye. Kiyoshi and her friends. They've been following me the entire day. Does she have a grudge on me? No that's not it. It's because I'm close to Toshiro. She's had feeling for him for a while now. Once I got to my locked, I see Toshiro waiting for me. "Toshiro? You never wait for me. Why today of all days?" "Well I'm worried about you." He replies. He smiled at me. His bright, white smile. It was comforting. I opened my locker to get my spring coat and my shoes. Once I was ready I turned to Toshiro, who was still smiling. I giggled. "You're smiling so awkwardly." I say. He laughs. He reaches out his hand. I look at him dumbfounded-ly. He whispers "You gotta hold it." I feel my face turn red. I take out my hand and reach out for his. I stop halfway. What am I doing? Everyone is watching. Is it really okay? I then hear a growl from down a hallway. It's Kiyoshi and her friends. They weren't hiding anymore and they seemed angry. She walked up to me and slaps away my hand. She pushes me to the ground and her friends made a wall so I wouldn't be able to get to Toshiro. She grabs his arm. "Shiro-kun! Thanks for waiting for me. Let's go." She says to him as she attempts to drag him away. He didn't budge. "I'm sorry Kiyoshi but I do not remember saying I would walk with you home. I have already promised to walk Karin home." He then grabbed me and dragged me out the school and past the gates. You can hear Kiyoshi cursing at me. I didn't want to look back, but I did. I can't get those scowling faces out of my mind. Once we turned the corner I couldn't control myself.

Toshiro's POV: As we turned the corner, Karin ran. She stopped, looking back at me for a few seconds and then looking forward. I felt like running after her. This is not like her. But I didn't follow her. Why didn't I follow her? I'm not sure. I just had this feeling that I knew where she was. And without a command my body started to walk in the direction she ran in. But not before getting a few things.

*Idk how long but we'll say 30 minutes later

"I knew you'd be here." I say as I approach Karin. Turns out my gut was right. She was at the railing where we would always hang out back then. We'd always come here to see the sun set. Since it was still winter, the sky looked beautiful even though the sun was still in the middle of the sky. "The sun hasn't set yet. Why come by so early?" She doesn't say anything. She doesn't even look at me. I decided I had enough of this chase. I grab her arm. This forced her to look at me.

Third person POV: Toshiro grabbed Karin's arm forcing her to look directly into his eyes. He pulled her close and put his face to hers. "I want to know what's going on. You've been like this for a while now. You're never like this. What's wrong?" "Nothing." She replies. "He tightens his grip. "I won't repeat myself again Karin. What's wrong?" His voice had gotten a lot harsher. Karin took a step back. She looked away from his eyes. "L-like I said before, it's nothing." He sighed. He let go of her arm and looked down. "Karin ... I really want to help, I really do but I can't help if you don't tell me." She stared down at the ground. "But ..." he started, "I won't pressure you anymore if you don't want to tell me. Just let me help cheer you up." Her eyes widened. She didn't understand what he was going to do. He revealed a bag with what seemed to be a wrapped gift inside. He handed it to her and told her open it it. Karin reaches inside to unwrap the wrapped present. It was a box with a message on the top. It said 'I hope you'll cheer up with this. -Toshiro' She opens the box to see a necklace inside. She wasn't one to wear jewelry but this one was special. There was a blue orb with a blue dragon within it. She looks up at him and he held another necklace in his hand. It had a white orb with what seemed to be a soccer ball within it. "This is so you'll know that I'll always be by your side, no matter how bad the situation." Toshiro says to her. She cups a hand over her mouth in shock. "Do you promise the same for me?" He asks. "Of course" she replies with a smile.
