I'm really, really sorry for the long wait. Stuff comes up and school doesn't help either. I hope this chapter satisfies all of you. Here's the next chapter :)

Karin's POV: "Yuzu prom isn't until another 2 months. Why are we shopping now?" I ask Yuzu. She dragged me to a mall downtown Karakura. Out graduation is in 2 months. Right afterward is our prom. I've already got something to wear, it's an old dress I've had sitting around in my closet but Yuzu wanted to get something new. Dad didn't want her to go alone so he made me go with her. She's tried on at least 6 dresses from this one place alone. I kinda want to go explore the rest of the mall and look for other interesting things. I tried to leave but Yuzu wants my opinion on the dresses she is wearing. I don't know fashion how would I know this stuff?? "C'mon Karin we can find something for you too while we're here." "Oh no. I'm not gonna buy a dress that I'll never wear. Prom is the only exception." Yuzu stares at me, unamused. "The dress you have is soooo out of date Karin. If this is the last time you're ever going to wear a dress, we have to find the best one!" Great. Now its shifted from a shopping dress for Yuzu to shopping for me. Oh boy, here we go,

Toshiro's POV: "Taichou, did you hear? Karin and Yuzu will be graduating high school soon." Rangiku shouts, interupting my work. "Rangiku, you have so much work left are you sure you want to start dozing off?" I ask her. "Oh c'mon now. I know you're distracted by the thought of Karin in the back of your mind." I jolt up from my seat. I go to say something but nothing escapes my mouth. It was true. I am thinking of her. No matter how much I try to distract myself, my mind won't stop thinking of her. How I want to be with her right now. How I want to touch her. Hug her. Ki - no I can't. She's in a relationship now I can't be thinking like that. "Taichou? You're spacing out." I snap out of my thoughts. "I apologize Matsumoto, what were you saying?" "I was saying that since Karin is graduating, she's probably going to prom soon so it's a good opportunity to co-" I cut her off. "What's a prom?" She stares at me with a shocked expression. "You can't be serious. All that time you spend with her and you don't even know what prom is?"

Matsumoto proceeds to explain what prom was. It just sounds like a dance party for social and popular people. Why would Karin go to something like this? "Now as I was saying, this is a good opportunity to confront her 'boyfriend' and win the girl of your dreams". My eyes widen. "Rangiku, you know we can't do that. We've been there and back so many times already." She puts on her puppy dog face. "But it's her prom. I think this could be an exception." At this point I'm too exhausted to argue against her. "I will think about it. May we proceed with our work now?" She looks at me a smile that stretches from ear to ear and happily continues the paperwork.

Third Person POV: Karin and Yuzu have been dress hunting for hours at this point. Yuzu has decided on a strapless, teal dress with crystal gems outlining the top. Karin doesn't have want to buy a new one but Yuzu refuses to leave without something for her sister. "What about this one?" She asks. Karin looks at up and down the dress. "Yuzu, you know I hate frilly things." At this point she's given up. Both girls are about to leave the store when something catches Yuzu's eye. "Before we go how about we try one last dress?" Karin, although reluctant at first accepts her sister's offer. She tries on a dress with a lace top and a dark blue skirt bottom. "This isn't too bad. There aren't any frills and it's not puffy. There's not a lot of shiny, glitzy stuff on it. I kinda like it." Yuzu's eyes light up. "That's it. We're getting you this dress."

Karin's POV : Yuzu actually got me a dress. To be honest I was a bit reluctant at first but I'm not one who wears dresses a lot. Might as well, right? Besides that's probably what dad wants me to wear too. Yuzu and I leave the mall, get on the bus and head home. We get off the bus because Yuzu wants to visit Jinta, her date. We walk down a skinny ally way. It's dark. Suddenly I hear a rustle and a man appears in front of us. "Well who do we have here? Two little girls wandering through the night? " I extend my arm, ready to protect my sister. I can tell she is really scared. He takes a step closer. I freak out and punch him in the face. He reaches for his face. His nose is bleeding. "Oh you've done it now girly!" He tries to punch me back but I deflect him. I thought I got him in the corner when all of a and sudden he pulls out a gun. I try grabbing it out of his hands but fail. He points it at my sister. "You'll regret you ever messed with me." He says panting. He pulls the trigger and I run to get Yuzu out of the way.

Third Person POV: Karin runs to get her sister out of the range of fire. As As a result a bullet enters the side of her body. "KARIN!!!" Yuzu shouts. She runs to her sister but hears another shot fire and ducks her head. The shot landed right in her sister's leg. "Hey! What's going on?" Shouts a passers-by. The shooter gets spooked and flees, leaving and injured Karin and terrified Yuzu alone.

Phew that was long. Again I apologize for how long it has taken for me to update this story. Sorry if this isn't my best work but I'm looking forward to having the rest of the story shared for everyone to see. I fully intend to finish this story as well so if it takes a while to update, just know that I plan to complete it.
