Meeting

Toshiro's POV: I hear a voice call my name. A familiar voice. I know who it is. I don't turn to see who. I feel two arms wrap around me. They're so ...  small. "Hey! Remember me?" I fight the urge to look back. I know that if I look at her I might shed a tear. I wouldn't be able to stay there with her. "Toshiro? Are you okay?" I snap out of my thoughts. "Uh hey. How's it going?" I don't look at her. I looked at the sky. "It's been lonely here without you." She replies. I cover part of my eye so she doesn't notice me peeking at her. She's smiling, not noticing that I haven't made any sort of eye contact with her. Right then, the guy I saw her with before come up. He puts his arm around her. " Hey, babe, who's this guy?" Her eyes brighten up. "Oh, Dave this is Toshiro. He's an old friend. Toshiro this is Dave, my boyfriend." I look down to the ground before seeking a glimpse of his guy. He seemed to have a lot of upper body and lower body strength. He had light brown hair and greenish eyes. Basically, to me, he seemed like a jerk. Why is Karin with this kind of guy? "Hey, dude. Nice you meet you." He presented his hand to me for a handshake. I grudgingly accepted his handshake. "Yeah, nice to meet you too ..." I glance over at Karin. She had the biggest smile I've ever seen. She seemed really happy.

Karin's POV: This is nice. Although being with Dave at first felt weird and I didn't enjoy it very much, I think I'm going to enjoy this relationship. Plus Toshiro seems to like Dave too. This is great! This might be fun. "Toshiro do you have a place to stay?" I ask. He shook his head. "How about you stay at our place? Just like old times?"

Toshiro's POV: Karin suggested I stay at her place. I looked over at Dave. Jealousy was written all over his face. It didn't feel right to accept but I I really didn't have anywhere to go. I didn't want to sleep in a tree again. "Sure."

*At the Kurosaki household*

*TOSHIROOOOO!!!" A voice screams. It was Yuzu. "Toshiro why'd you come back so late?! Now Karin's been taken away from you and she's dating some jerk named Dylan!!" Karin looked annoyed. "His name is Dave, and he's not that big of a jerk." I guess Yuzu isn't by a big fan of Dave either. After dinner their dad, Isshin comes home. "My beautiful children, I am home!" He walked into the living room area and stared at me. "Karin did you decide on Toshiro after all? You finally decided to listen to your father and get rid of that Dave boy." He had sparkles in his eyes. Does this whole family hate that guy? "Really? You all told me to give love a shot." exclaims Karin. I guess they approved of him at first. " Anyways, Toshiro is going to be staying with us for a while." Yuzu's eyes brightened. "You can sleep in Ichigo's room." I looked over at him. He just sat there quietly. Some time had passed before everyone was going to bed. I walked into Ichigo's room. He sat on his bed and asked me in a serious voice, "Toshiro, we need to talk for a bit." I close the door and sit on the floor in front of him. He put his hands together and looked straight into my eyes. "Are you in love with Karin?"
