"I really can't believe that you are going to New Orleans while August is out running around Chicago."
Mina helped me get Erin into the car.
"Mhm. Can we stop over to Candy's real quick?"
I clicked the seatbelt around Erin and walked to the passenger.
"Sure."
I grabbed the door and slid and opened a bag of chips, handing the bag back to Erin.
"Jace asked me out."
I cocked my brow and looked over at her.
"Really, it's about time. You guys have been doing whatever you call it for the past couple years. I'm impressed."
She rolled her eyes and sighed. "I guess."
"Your not happy?" I asked.
She shrugged.
"I mean I am. I just don't know what took him so long."
"Well if it's what you wanted then don't question it. Just go with the flow."
She nodded as we pulled up to Candy's house and I seen Craig walking out of the house. I cocked my brow and looked over at Mina.
"I know these niggas ain't doing what I think they doing."
Mina began laughing and jumped out of the car, walking up the steps and pushed Craig.
"What up little bitch?!" Mina joked.
I laughed and shook my head, getting out to get Erin out of the backseat.
"Come on baby, let's go see Aunt Candy."
I grabbed Erin out and placed her on the ground and watched her run to hug Craig. I watched Mina continue to mess with Craig as I walked into the house.
"Candy!" I walked into the house and closed the door.
"In here."
I walked to the kitchen and seen her leaning on the counter, drinking wine. I leaned against the door frame and crossed my arms.
"Well, well. Look at you." I said, smirking.
She rolled her eyes and sighed, swinging her glass.
"Bitch don't start."
I surrendered my hands.
"I said nothing. So! What was uh Craig doing coming out ---"
"Of my house? Shit, It's a long story that I don't want to get in to right now? So what's up Steph? Why aint you on the way to the airport?"
I sighed and tucked my tongue in my jaw, looking behind me,making sure that Mina wasn't in the house yet.
"I need you to do me a favor."
She cocked her brow and sipper her wine. I took the tickets out of my pocket and slid them across the bar.
"Wait a minute. What is this?" She looked over her glass at the tickets.
"I need you to take Erin to New Orleans and stay there until I give you the call to come back to Chicago."
She frowned and shook her head, placing her hand on face.
"Wait. I'm confused. You want me to take Erin, for what?"
"Look it's a long story. August is out here about do some crazy shit and I'm not about to just stand here and run I--"
