Alright, a promise is a promise. It's not fair to you all to leave without finishing. So, that is what I am going to do...
August
I headed over ta Jace house. He had called me and told me dat him and Craig was gon help me wit all'a did but really I ain't want no help. I worked solo and dat was all I was eva used to.
"Yo wasup man?" I asked, giving Jace dap.
Jace nodded and cleared his throat.
"Yea man, we ready."
I looked at him. He wasn't ready, he aint know da first thing about dis life.
"Man, come on. You fa real? What do yo ass know about killin' somebody?"
He scoffed and shook his head.
"Man, like you don't know who my father is."
I laughed. "Bruh, you just now finding about how hard ya daddy was. Uncle David was good but dat don't automatically make you all about it. And you know Craig aint neva had ta do anything like dis."
"Craig what?" He asked comin' around da corner.
I aint wanna tell them dat I wanted ta do it alone but dat looked like what was gon have ta happen.
"Look y'all. I'ma do dis by myself but I really do appreciate y'all tryna help a nigga out but dis is something dat I gotta do alone aight?"
They looked a lah hurt but I was savin' they life as well. I dapped them up and walked out of da house and headed ta my car. I hopped in and headed to exactly da main place dat I knew I needed ta be. But my mine was on Laya. She was prolly scared than a mug right na and it was takin me fa eva ta find her. But if she would hang on a bit mo, daddy was on his way...
Unknown
"You think that he is coming for you hm?"
She remained silent. That was all she had been doing ever since she got here. I didn't want to kill her just yet because she was worth something.
"You would be better off to go ahead and talk. You going to die anyway."
She looked up at me and shook her head.
"My daddy is coming and he is going to kill you. I promise."
I chuckled and shook my head.
"Oh. So now you want to talk. But I'm so glad that you have a sense of humor. That nigga aint your daddy. I know who your daddy is and as soon as he gets here, he is going to let you know."
"That doesn't matter. August has been my daddy every since I was old enough to know who was doing something for me and it was August and Stephanie. They are my parents there is nobody else that matters at all. And Erin is my baby--"
I cut her off with a slap to her face. This little bitch was not about to disrespect me, I be damned. She was going to learn some respect. One thing I knew, was that August had no idea that I knew he had sent his little wife and daughter out west. I knew everything.
"Yo little stupid ass has a lot to learn but that's ok. I'll teach you, along wth some other things too."
I chuckled to myself.
Stephanie
"Are you in town?" I asked into the phone,
"Yea. How the trip go?" I sighed.
I pulled up at a stop sign and shook my head.
"Craig, I didn't go. Candy went for me and took Erin but I have a question."
He laughed.
"Like what? When the fuck is your funeral? Cause you know you dead right?"
I rubbed my for head as I pulled off.
"I know, but I just couldn't let him fight this battle on his own."
"Well, good luck because me and Jace already offered our services and he denied so I know that he aint about to let you do anything and if Jace finds out, he gon--
"But he isn't going to find out." I cut in.
There was a silence on the other end of the phone.
"Steph, I love you adn all but there is no way that I can hide this from him or Aug. I mean what if something happens to you? I would be the only one who knows and my dumb ass aint got get whopped by them two. Them muthafuckas are crazy."
I sighed and pulled up to my house .
"Cool, I will them myself. But first, I need to go and get some of August's weapons. Jace can't find this out Craig. I'm begging."
He sighed from the other side of the phone.
"Shit. Aight, I still don't know why I be allowing my self to fuck with you adn you dumb ass ideas."
I laughed. "Cause you love me. Bye."
"Mhm, bye."
I hung up and headed into the garage. I walked into the other room that he had in the garage and looked around. It was his gun room. There was every size gun you imagine and every type of gun that you could ever imagine. I walked up to one of the smaller guns and began putting them in the back of pants like I had watched August do so many times
I wasn't a pro at this but I was willing to try for husband and Laya. It was both of our problem to protect this family and that was what we were going to do. Once I got everything that I needed, I walked out to the car and put them in to the trunk.
I had a couple of places that I wanted to try out first and that was exactly what I was going to do..
I am going to finish this book and the other one and I think that will be all. I was asked to please finish this book and that would be the right thing to do. I am going to finish this book. Like I said I have been very busy trying to do my own thing so yea.
Hope you enjoyed this chapter, only a few more to go I think.
