Man I just seen thing thing going around, "You call her Stephanie but I call her Headphanie." I have no idea why I found this funny, may because she was my character.

Stephanie

I coughed and rubbed my face, getting out of the car. This shit was too damn too much for me at the moment. I trusted August, I really did but sometimes certain things can just get you out of whack.

August walked ahead of me and drew his gun. I decided to put all this on the back burner for now and keep it moving.

"Is she in there?" I asked.

He didn't respond, he just shook his head.

Looking down at his watch, he glanced back at the house.

"They not hea." I frowned and looked around.

"What do you mean they aren't here. They have to be, where else could they be?"

He looked over at me and cocked his brow.

"This is Chicago Stephanie, they could be anywhere."

He shook his head and jogged back to the truck. I was hot in his trail. When we got to the truck we sat there and I watched August scan the area. He pinched the bridge of his nose and started the car.

I looked down because there was a buzzing sound but I think it was August's phone. He looked down at it, it was Unknown. He sighed and picked it up.

"Hello."

He nodded and licked his lips.

"Aight, I'm on my way." He hung up and shook his head.

I stared at him but he remained silent.

"What is it?"

"Dat was someone tellin me about whea Laya is at."

He turned my whole body towards him.

"Well what are we waiting for?, Lets go!

He fanned me off, looking a bit irritated.

"Dis aint gone be as easy as you think .... at all."

When we got there, the building was an old abandoned ware house that was leaking gosh knows what. The placed was torn down and old. It wasn't even fit for an animal.

We walked a bit further and seen that there was someone that was in light. August and I exchanged looks and then turned out gazes back to the figure that was sitting tied to a chair.

Whoever it was, was roped tied and one spot light was shining down and had a blind fold over their eyes. Their hands and legs were bonded.

"I want ya ta stay right hea, don't move. Understand?"

I debated on rolling my eyes but as much as I wanted to, I knew that it probably wouldn't wise for me.

"Fine, just hurry up please?" I crossed my arms.

"Oh aight. Lemme just run in hea right quick and get Laya and we be on our way coo?"

He rolled his eyes and began to walk in the room. I grabbed his arm and kissed him.

"I'm sorry, I love you. Now go."

He fought a smile and shook his head. I watched him walk into the room and the door automatically shut. I frowned and ran up to the doors and tried to get them open. They wasn't budging. It was a set up..

August

Dis shit was expected. It was a setup but all I wanted ta know was how in da hell was I goin ta get my daughter outta hea.

"Well look who made it. Took you a while but your finally here. Let's get started."

I shook my head.

"Look if yall wanna have a blood bath we can do dat but as far as me talkin, I aint got time fa dis shit. Ion have time fa da makin empty threats and tryna figure out shit. I want my baybeh and I'a be on my way."

I looked ova ta my right and seen someone comin out of da shadows. I wasn't scared because of who I saw.

"Lynn?" I asked, confused.

I was shocked ta see her hea. Maybe it was because she was kidnapped along with Laya. But as I thought of it, Laya was at my mama house.

"August, how are you doing?"

I frowned and looked around the building.

"What da hell are you doin hea?"

She poked her lip out and shrugged her shoulder.

"Where is Stephanie?"

I started to point behind me but I decided against it.

"She took Erin ta LA fa awhile. Thought she would have told you."

"Mm."

I cocked my gun and looked at her.

"Look, Ion know what is goin on but you can give my daughter and I'a be on my way."

She smiled and looked down at the ground.

"I wish it was that easy August I really do. But here is the thing. Kelton called me a let me in on what was going on. You see when he was renting the apartment to Stephanie, we had a conversation about somethings and found out who he really was and what was going on. After a while, we talked some more and he told me about the situation with Laya. You failed to tell me he was her father."

I sighed and rolled my eyes.

"Dat aint da case."

"Oh? Well please tell me what the case is because I wasn't aware when I was keeping her that I was keeping her away from her biological father."

"You know what? I aint about ta deal wit dis right na. Just give me Laya and I'a be out."

She held up her finger and sucked her teeth.

"What?"

"What about you and your little dirty past? I'm sure Stephanie would love to know about all of that and you getting my husband killed. Tsk tsk. I don't think that you need Laya."

I sighed. "Yup she knows. Kelton already texted her about it. But what everyone fails ta undastand is da fact dat it aint true. But ion give a fuck whether you believe it or not. I bet you I'ma be leavin here wit my babygirl."

She cocked her brow.

"Is that so?"

Damn right, I thought. I just looked at her and pointed my gun at her. The door came open and it was Stephanie comin in being held at gun point by Kelton.

"You might want to rethink your little plan August."

I scoffed. "So since you can't pussy pop fa my father no mo' you mad dat you wanna take it out on me? Wow."

She walked up to me. "You don't know what you are talking about."

"I don't? I think I do. And if you want to keep your lah good name at da place you work at, you may wanna think twice about what you about ta do. On top of dat, there is one secret dat I think dat Stephanie would like ta know about her father." I smirked.

Lynn began looking at me. It was at da moment dat she knew dat I knew.

"August, I swear."

"What? You gon kill me, just like you did your husband?"
