Stephanie
Sitting in the house, I held Erin. But that was not good enough for me. I wanted to be out there and doing something too. I bit may lip and closed my eyes, rocking Erin. I couldn't just sit here and let this shit come in between me and my family. Jace was here to watch me but nope.
I couldn't and I wasn't.
"Stephanie yo, you got any food in this bitch?" Jace asked walking to the kitchen.
I rolled my eyes and laid Erin down on the couch, standing up.
"Look for food Jace, hell."
"What's your problem, if it's about August leaving your ass here, that's not my problem."
"Don't. You don't know what's going on, so don't act like it."
He walked in the living room and cocked his brow, staring at me.
"Lose the attitude Steph. I'm just here looking out for you and my niece."
I sighed and nodded.
"You are right, watch your niece for me, I have to make a run."
He stepped in front of me as I took a step forward.
"Where are you going?"
I frowned.
"Uh, excuse me."
He shook his head.
"Look, sis. I know what you are trying to do but Aug asked me to stay here and make sure everything stayed kosher. I can't afford to let you walk out of that door."
"I just need to get some air for a minute ok, excuse me."
I moved around Jace and walked to the back room and opened August's closet and reached on the shelf and grabbed his shoebox. Opening it, I grabbed the gun that was inside and walked over to my purse and gently stuffed it.
I walked back to the living room and headed toward the door while Jace was in the kitchen. I slipped out of the front door and hopped in my car. As soon as I shifted the gear, I seen Jace running out of the house.
I closed my eyes and and zoomed out of the parking lot. I would apologize later but right now I had shit to do. Already missed my photoshoot, so what else was there to lose?
Things were not making sense but I had an idea. I knew a person I could call but I wasn't sure on how much information I could get.
Blair Jenkins.
I dialed her numbered placed the phone to my ear ear. Remembering it was a weekend, it was a chance that she wasn't going to pick up.
"Hello?"
Thank God.
"Hi Blair Jenkins?"
"Yes, who may I ask is speaking? She chirped.
I turned the corner and stop at the light.
"This is Mrs. Alsina."
"Oh hi, what can I do for you Mrs. Alsina?"
I sighed and licked my lips as I waited for the light to change.
"Um, I was going to go and talk to Ms. Wright and see if I could clear some things over. I was wondering if you happened to have an address."
I closed my eyes. I knew that this was a long shot but it was worth a try.
"Mrs. Alsina I completely understand. And it's very nice of you to try and get this together for your daughter, just give me one minute to find it."
