The plan that was set in motion had to go down by tonight. Jason had included that Pablo was expecting a shipment on the docks by 11 and we were gonna go down there and grant them with a little "surprise."
We parked a few blocks away, making sure we were cautious to being seen and made our way behind some of the trucks that sat abandoned near the buildings. It was dark and windy but we could make out the figures of some of the scorpions as well as Pablo's bald ass head.
"Ready....? Let's go." I signaled and all ten of us sprung into action, guns blazing.
"It's a stick up hoes" I heard my cousin shout as the banging sounds echoed when he hit his gun against the metal doors of the trucks.
Although we appeared with stealth, the Scorpions, all five of them, didn't look so surprised to see us but we easily looted and held them up. That left me with a bad feeling in my chest.
Before we could even put our treasures in the cars, shots began to fire from a seemingly far off distance.
"Oh damn!!" I heard Seth as we ducked to the floor to avoid bullets.
"What's happening right now?!" I shouted out, almost crawling to a slight shelter, firing back.
"They knew we were coming!!"
"We got a rat!!"
I could hear and the rage began to consume my entire being. Before I could do anything about it, the firing halted and there emerged Pablo as if he hadn't been there the moment we arrived.
"Well look what we got here, a couple of gangsters tryna take wats not theirs." His gloating look needed to be kicked off his greasy face.
I slowly got up, making note of the men walking towards Pablo, guns held tightly in their hands.
"We only come here to take what you owe us." I said, putting my weapon by my waist.
"Oh? And what would that be exactly?" He crossed his arms in slight confusion but you could tell in his eyes that he knew what we were talking about which made me even angrier.
"Compensation of Benny." Seth stated, he stepped closer to my side.
"Benny? Who is that?" Pablo played dumb and I saw red.
"YOU SON OF A--"
I ran towards him with my fists up but without realizing it, a man by his left had pulled the trigger and a bullet was headed in my direction.
I went down and the pain hit me in my stomach but it was luckily a graze, although The Crew and Seth hadn't realized as yet, that began the war.
As they fought, I remember being carried somewhere, I wasn't sure what exactly was going on because of the blood loss but I was being taken somewhere before I blacked out completely. When I woke up, it was late and I was by myself in a empty corner next to a garbage bin, my wound poorly wrapped with someone's shirt. The pain hit me again and I groaned in agony as I tried to get up.
"Where am I? Why am I here?" I thought groggily, trying to see if I knew the area.
It was still dark and I seemed to be in this small abandoned walkway so I decided I would call Seth to see if he could get me but then I realized I left my phone AND wallet in the car.
"Damn!" I cussed out but the graze was weakening me more with every minute passing.
I decided to walk to see if I could actually get help.
Every step just seemed to get harder as I walked the poorly lit streets and seeing it was either too early or too late in this suburban neighborhood I seemed to have encountered, I don't think anyone would be witnessing me nearly unconscious in motion.
As a couple minutes passed, the sidewalks, lamp posts and manicured bushes seemed to blur.
Oh shit I was blacking out again, my body feeling numb.
Slightly before I knocked out again, I could hear movement from my left but you know death was probably what was happening after all.
