At the dance
Jared had been watching her from across the room.
It was her blue dress that caught his eye.
She was beautiful, yet he was afraid to make the first move.
Jared's two cousins kept elbowing him to approach her. Growing tired of their pestering, Jared decided to make his move.
As Jared approached the girl, he gathered up his nerves to speak.
However, before the words came out his mouth, another guy came from the other side. He touched the girl's arm and whispered into her ear.
Jared's muse smiled and followed him to the dance floor leaving Jared alone.
