One Young Girl
I crossed the line and let the cool light shine through me. Today was the day I would become solid.
The light finished its scan and the sky folded into itself, bestowing multitudinous faces a glimpse into our world. A few were looking around, but most of them didn't even seem to care. No matter. One of them would see me.
Minutes passed.
"It takes time."
The Observer shook his head and made a note.
At my plea, one young girl looked up. We made eye contact, and I felt a thrill. She was the one.She was my author.
