A/n: IM SORRY IM TERRIBLE AT BEGINNINGS BUT I PROMISE IT GETS BETTER IM SO SORRY FOR THIS TERRIBLE CHAPTER
My name is Avery White and I come from a pureblood wizarding family. I have wavy brown hair and bright blue eyes. This is my third year as a magical student, first year as a Hogwarts student. I used to go to Beauxbatons but I never liked it there. A lot of the girls were rather snobby and the boys refused to talk to the 'mysterious female specimen'.

Why didn't I just start at Hogwarts? I didn't go there first because my parents thought that Albus Dumbeldore, the headmaster, was a lazy old git. So for the past three years I've been stealing all the biscuits in the house until they gave in and convinced Dumbeldore to find me a spot in year three.

So here I am, at platform 9 3/4. My mother was lucky she made it, she has a lot of work in areas far away. She works in the care of magical creatures department in the ministry of magic, and is given all of the work that needs her to go to different Countries and take care of things like trolls and werewolves.

Unfortunately my father could not join me on my departure to Hogwarts, as he is the assistant for the minister of magic, whom is a very busy man.

Lucky, lucky me.

I was incredibly nervous, but excited all the more. My childhood friend does go to Hogwarts, so hopefully I'll be able to see him again.

My thoughts were interrupted by the whistle of the train, warning me that it was going to take off soon.

I gave my mother a quick hug before bidding my goodbyes and heading over to the beautiful train.

I quickly ran up to the door, searching for an empty compartment. I skipped to the very last one, figuring it might be empty, but it seemed that four  boys had the same idea.

One of them motioned for me to enter. I examined them from where I was. The boy that welcomed me had dark brown hair that reached to his shoulders. I should ask him what conditioner he uses becomes his hair is freaking perfect. Seriously.

To his left, next to the window sat a boy with shaggy black hair and rectangular glasses. He smirked at me.

Across from the boy with glasses sat a boy with tidy brown hair and very light scars across his face. He gave me a welcoming smile.

Next to him sat a boy with dusty blonde hair who was slightly on the chubby side. He was too busy stuffing his face with cauldron cakes to notice me and everything else that was going on around him.

I was about to slide open the compartment door when I heard a voice from behind me. "Avery?" I felt a hand lightly touch my shoulder. I spun around only to come face to face with a certain childhood friend.

"Sev!" I yelled a little bit too loudly. Did that bother me? Not at the moment. It most definitely will later though.
I practically jumped onto him as I squeezed him in a tight hug.
"I've missed you so much Sev."

5 years. 5  f r e a k i n g  y e a r s since I've seen him.

I let go of him and grinned and he smiled back at me. He glanced over my shoulder and to the four boys in the last compartment, giving them a triumphant grin.

"Cmon." He took me by the hand and led me to the second to last compartment.

Back in the last compartment, two boys were glaring at the door whilst one attempted to calm them down and another looked up, with a mouthful of cake.
