|| Third person POV ||

James looked over to Sirius' bed. The curtains were drawn so he tiptoed over and peeked through silently, making sure the dark haired boy was asleep before turning to face two boys who were waiting behind him.

"Let's go talk in the common room. Sirius wakes easily and you know that." James stated, before walking out the dorm room door and down the stairs to the Gryffindor common room, Remus and Peter in tow.

Once sat in front of the fire, He spoke again.

"Remus, I'm gonna need to ask a big favour of you."

The brunette answered by raising an eyebrow in a questioning way.

"You're gonna have to become closer with Avery for this, ok?"

"Ok...." He replied, Peter watching in interest.

"So, the big drama with Sirius and Avery isn't going to fix itself, is it?" James started, leaving no time for Remus of Peter to reply. "That's why we need to put ourselves in the middle of it. I want to help Avery because she's more in the right of this situation, but if I go to Avery instead of Sirius then, being the complete drama queen that he is, Sirius is going flip."

Remus chuckled and Peter nodded, taking this situation very seriously.

"That is why," James started, pausing for effect. "I am assigning you to help Avery."

Remus gulped, and Peter pouted.

"How come I'm not a part of this?" He whined.

"Let's face it Peter, your not very good when in comes to socialising." James stated.

"Good point." Peter mumbled. "But I'll still stick with you and Sirius. It'll be easier that way."

James nodded, not noticing Remus staring at the ground in thought.

"We start tomorrow. Remus, you'll offer to help her with her astronomy homework in the library. She told me she has trouble with it and no doubt you'll find a way to change the subject to him, he is named after a star."

Remus continued to look at the ground in thought, not noticing that James had been speaking to him.

"Remus?" James tapped him on the shoulder, causing Remus to snap back into reality.

"Hm?"

James sighed, rubbing his forehead in frustration.

|| Avery's POV ||

"I hate astronomy."

"Don't you think it's pretty to look at the stars?" Lily asked, smiling.

"The stars are stunning, but our homework is the complete opposite." I mumbled, frowning.

"Do you need help with your astronomy homework?" A voice a few metres behind me asked.
I turned around to see that it was Remus.

"It's no problem, I'm just not very good at the subject." I answered.

"No, it's fine, I haven't done the homework yet anyway. I'll meet you in the library at free period, okay?"

"Uh, okay." I replied, still processing everything he said, as he said it quite quickly.

He gave one last smile before catching up with the rest of the marauders, and I turned lily who was smirking mischievously.

"What?"

She continued to smirk. "Nothing." She said in a sing-song voice.

"For Merlins sake he's just helping with homework!"

"How do they expect me to remember all the names of the stars?!"

"I don't really know. I guess they just expect you to remember them."

"But why!?"

"Well, I don't really know." Remus sheepishly rubbed the back of his neck.

"Wait, that ones called-" I started, pausing for a slight second, before mumbling out the last part of my sentence. "Sirius." I stared at the star that was in the middle of the page, a few other stars around it.

Remus looked over at my book and pointed at one on the far left. "That ones called Regulus. Everyone in the black family is named after a star."

"How am I supposed to remember which ones which though?" I asked, furrowing my eyebrows in frustration.

"Sirius is in the centre, so think of that like how he tends to want to be the centre of attention. He's also the brightest out of the little group of stars. If that's enough to remember that one, then think of the other stars as James, Peter and myself. And for Regulus, the star is distanced from the other stars, like how Regulus like to distant himself from other people."

"Wow... Your good at this." I said, laughing.

He chuckled.

"I'll be right back. I'm gonna quickly get something."

I walked to the front of the library and picked up the latest issue of The Daily Prophet off of a small table that had them stacked high.

I brought it back to where me and Remus were sat, before looking at it.

"That's horrible..." I mumbled, looking at the front cover. A werewolf had reportedly killed an entire family. "It kinda looks like me during my time of the month." I laughed, showing it to Remus.

"Y-you're a werewolf?" He asked, going pale.

"No you idiot! I was joking about how I get angry and beastly when I'm on my period!" I replied, laughing and completely oblivious to the glares we were getting from the librarian.

"O-oh." He replied, forcing a laugh.

"It's not fair." I suddenly stated.

"Hm?"

"Werewolves are treated like monsters. They're people, all the same. If wizards actually took the time to learn about werewolves, we could find a way to let them roam without harming anyone during a full moon. Hell, we could even find a bloody cure!"

Remus stared at me, in complete silence.

"Ah, sorry, that's just my view. You probably think the complete opposite like everyone else." I mumbled, fiddling with my hands nervously.

"No, I absolutely agree!" He said, giving me a full, genuine smile.

I looked at the time.

"Merlins beard, we're late for herbology." I said, quickly packing everything up, grabbing Remus by the wrist and dragging him towards our next class.

"James," I started, grinning widely and sitting next to him on his bed. "I think something strange and incredible has just happened."
