|| James' POV ||

"Did you actually talk to her about Sirius?" I asked the brown haired boy in front of me.

"About that..." He mumbled, giving James and apologetic smile.

"For Merlins sake Remus!" I groaned.

"I promise I'll talk to her about it next time I'm studying with her." He mumbled, hiding a smile.

"I still can't believe you-"

"She was really nice about werewolves and everything ok?! I always thought I had a tiny crush on her, then she started talking about how werewolves didn't deserve to be treated the way they are. I haven't been so genuinely happy since I learnt that you guys were fine with it." He muttered quietly, eyeing Frank Longbottom's bed nervously.

"Ok, ok. This might make it a bit harder though."

Remus shrugged. "I'll still help get her to be friends with Sirius again, don't worry."

James smiled. "Thanks, Moony."

He walked back to his bed and closed the curtains around it before slipping under the covers. The last I heard from him was a small, quiet sigh.

"Is everyone in the black family named after stars?" Avery asked, peering at a familiar page in her astronomy book.

"Yeah." Remus replied, his answer short.

"Is there enough stars for that?"

"I would say so, but we definitely haven't discovered all the stars out there, so they just reuse names instead of finding new ones."

"Oh."

It was silent for a while, as the two stared at the different books in front of them. Remus was reading a potions book, staring intently at a page about Wolfsbane.

"You talk about Sirius a lot." Remus remarked, breaking the silence.

The girl in front of him looked shocked at first, then appeared to be thinking about it.

"I guess I do."

"Do you miss him? Being friends with him?" the boy asked.

"Yeah." Avery's reply came short, and she refused to meet eyes with Remus in case he would see the guilt in hers.

"You should apologise to him."

"What?"

"He misses you too. He wants to speak with you, he longs to tell you that he's sorry, a million times over. But he can't, because his pride gets in the way."

"Then he should-" Avery was about to say something about how Sirius should get over his pride, but she knew she should just go with what Remus was saying. "Okay."

Remus wanted to show a genuine smile. But he couldn't. He had a feeling that it won't do any better for him. That Avery was going to fall for Sirius instead. So he plastered a fake smile across his face. "Great."
