Miyaji x Reader

Reader POV

I took in a deep breath as I and said, " Miyaji, you don't have to walk with me I'm fine." Miyaji shook his head and said," Haven't you heard the news? People are getting robbed all around here and you're a first-year high school girl." I frowned as he insisted on walking me to and from school no matter. "So? You know I can defend myself. I'm not some helpless baby." We got to the school gates and he said," Just go to the gym after your classes. I'll see you then (Y/N)." I sighed and waved him off and walked to my class. I sat my stuff down and fell into my seat, and put my head down. I swear Miyaji is sometimes like a nagging mother. I've known him since my first year of junior high when I moved to the house next to his. At first, he was very cold to everyone and made sure everyone followed the rules. I remember I jumped the fence that was in the school yard and got over. However, in the process of getting over I got a cut on my knee and fell down. Miyaji came over and helped me into the infirmary and after that, he just stayed around making sure I wouldn't do anything like that again like a big brother. Of course, I did get scolded a lot by him and by the time but, my first year of high school I felt weird around him. I couldn't see him as an older brother anymore, but I didn't know what the feeling was. I still have it, but I choose to ignore it even though it drives me crazy thinking about it. I groan as I heard sensei walk into the room demanding that we turn to page 29 in our textbooks. Isn't he a ray of sunshine today?

~Time Skip~

Miyaji POV

I eat my lunch with my team as usual as I watch (Y/N) gets her lunch. " Oi senpai, are you sure you don't have any feelings for (Y/N)-chan?" I turn and glare at Takao and before I could answer (Y/N) sat down across from me and put her head down on the table. I flicked her head and said," Hey, that's rude pick your head up." She groans and lifts her head up. She props her head up with her arm and said," Isn't it rude to keep a girl waiting?" Confused, I said," Well of course it is, why are you asking?" She smiled and clapped her hands together and said," Then I could walk home ahead of you since you have practice?" I flick her head again and said," No we talked about this." She huffed and said," Yeah I'm a girl, so what? My house isn't that far away from here anyway. If there is any trouble then I could get by." The bell went off and I packed my things. (Y/N) did the same and after I threw my trash away I said," I know, but just in case. So you better be in the gym after your classes or I will hunt you down." I turn heading back to my class. Once I entered the room I started to pack up my things. Why is (Y/N) so headstrong? Are you sure you don't have any feelings for her? The thought lingered in my head, but I quickly dismissed it. I stopped packing and let out a big exhale, of course I do. I've liked her since she moved in. I didn't know how to react to her without freaking her out, so I was cold to her. I always wanted to talk to her, except I didn't know how to. But after she jumped the fence and scratched her knee I knew I just had to look after her. My feelings grew especially strong in my first year of high school. I look at the clock and see that I have about 5 minutes to get to the gym and start practice. I grab my things and headed down to the gym, (Y/N) better be there.

Reader POV

Classes ended and I packed my stuff and went to the gym. I opened the door and saw everyone doing their own thing. I set my things down beside the bench and sat down. "Hey (Y/N)-chan!" I turn and see Takao behind me and I smiled. "Hi Takao." He sat down beside me and leaned in and whispered into my ear," Are you sure you don't like Miyaji senpai?" I instantly shoved him off the bench and stood up,"Takao! Shut it." He burst into laughter trying to get back up and I kicked him back down. I felt my cheeks glow a bit red and said," I-I'm going to the convenience store." I took my wallet and jacket and ran down the hallway and out the doors. I kept running out into the dark and finally stopped in front of the convenience store. I felt a chill go down my spine as I realize, I left the gym and away from the school at night without Miyaji. I am so dead. I slapped my cheeks, you don't need Miyaji for everything (Y/N)! You've done fine on your own! I walk in and bought some snacks and a couple of drinks for the team. The store manager then closed the store and walked away. I waved the manager off but then I heard some kind of commotion in the alley beside the store. I walked over and saw a tall figure looming over someone else who was a lot smaller. The tall figure trapped the other one against the wall and the smaller tried to get away. I found myself acting on my own as I dropped my bags and went over, kicked the taller one over and helped up the other person. When they got up I noticed that it was a girl who was probably around her third junior high year or a first year in high school. Once I got her out of the alley she thanked me and I smiled, but then felt a hand squeeze my shoulder. I pushed her off me and I turned to face the person behind me. I backed up and said," Run."

Miyaji POV

I continued to yell at the first years to start picking it back up again as they were slacking off. I see Takao and Midorima sitting on the bench and talking. I look over to see (Y/N)'s stuff at the end of the bench, but no (Y/N). I walked over to them and said,"Where is (Y/N)?" Takao put his water bottle down and said," Oh she went out to the convenience store." I felt my body go cold as soon as he said," she went out". I ran out the doors and to the convenience store.

~ Time Skip ~

While I was running something ran into me. I looked down and saw a girl. She looked at me but backed away immediately She then said," S-she is in trouble!" She pointed to the convenience store and I ran. Pumping my arms I finally reached the store and saw (Y/N) get pulled back by some shady guy. She fought back but put her into a headlock. As soon as I saw him touch her something in me snapped. I ran and pulled my arm back and swung with full force. He stumbled back and I yelled,"GET YOUR DIRTY HANDS OFF HER." I did a roundhouse and made him fall onto the ground. Before I could do anything I felt something tug at my sleeve. I turn and see (Y/N) with a small tear in her eye. I calmed down and pulled her into an embrace. Slowly she gave in and just laid in my arms. I lifted her bridal style and walked over and saw the police with the ambulance and a firetruck. A paramedic ran over to me and said," Are both of you okay?" I nod my head but said," We are, but I don't know about that guy over there." He nodded and ran over to the guy who was slumped over. I continued to walk and I walked to the nearest park bench. I sat her in my lap and zipped her jacket back up. "Miyaji?" I look up and see (Y/N) with slightly open eyes looking at me. I hugged her tighter and said,"Don't ever do that again." She wrapped her arms around my neck and nodded. I pulled back a bit and said," Please I'm serious (Y/N). You know why I'm always nagging at you?" She shook her head and I put my forehead on her's and said," Because I l-loved you ever since day one." I slowly kissed her lips and for a moment she stayed still, but then kiss me back. She pulled away and said," I love you too Miyagi."
